Vegan Cuts Beauty Box is a monthly beauty subscription service that sends 4-7 items ranging from unique cosmetics to luxurious skin care. Best of all, they are 100% cruelty-free! Monthly recurring shipments are $22.95 with free shipping in the USA (there is an additional charge for other countries). This sub is also available in 6 or 12-month terms that do not renew but that do earn you a discount.

Vegan Cuts doesn’t offer customization and sends items that are suitable for almost everyone. They promise not to send foundation or other items that match a specific skin tone and instead send makeup items that are as inclusive as possible with possible variations in shades. They also promise a value of at least $30 but have sent boxes that are significantly above that mark. Vegan Cuts sends deluxe “travel” sized or full-sized products and rarely sends single use packets.

There was a product information card that included a coupon code for a shop purchase and info on how you can win a free box by sharing your box on social media.

The flip side of the card listed each item and the retail value. April’s box theme is “Beauty, Blossomed!” with “cruelty-free beauty picks from the Earth.”

I have been impressed with natural deodorants and wear them on my days off from work. Schmidt’s Natural Deodorant in Rose+Vanilla ($8.99) features arrowroot powder, shea butter, and baking soda and comes in a convenient stick form. When I opened the lid the top part of the deodorant was stuck inside the protective cover but as I rubbed the deodorant on, the remainder smoothed out. Some people don’t care for deodorants with baking soda as they may be irritated by that ingredient but I used it on freshly shaved underarms and didn’t have any problems. I didn’t care for the scent, which I could smell for hours afterwards, but that is a personal preference – I dislike the smell of all but fresh roses.

Love Jivana Tridosha Treatment Oil ($8) is a Vegan Cuts exclusive and therefore not available on the Love Jivana website.

This oil has a roll-on which is hard to use on the face so I rolled it on my hands and then applied, or you can easily remove the roller ball. This treatment is made with almond, jojoba, sunflower, grape seed, and hemp seed oils along with other plant-based ingredients to help soothe, calm, and treat. It had a slight smokey herb and rose scent that faded quickly and absorbed fast as well.

Derma•E Vitamin C Concentrated Serum ($2.83) is a fast absorbing gel serum with hyaluronic acid to help draw water to the skin plus vitamin C to provide antioxidants. Green tea extract is also in the mix along with natural fragrance oils for a gentle scent. It absorbed quickly and wasn’t sticky.

Naked Scrubs Lemon Exfoliating Body Scrub ($5) is made with sugar, lemon zest + juice, and apricot, olive, and almond oils. It smelled delicious and worked beautifully and I loved the uplifting feeling I obtained for my body and soul!

I know it looks messy but it was well wrapped. Smells so yummy and left my skin soft!

The Granola Goat Green with Envy Dry Face Mask ($6)

This mask is made with Hawaiian grown spirulina (blue-green algae), organic quinoa, French green clay, and patchouli essential oil. It’s dry so there’s no need for preservatives – just mix with your favorite liquid and apply to skin. Try cooled chamomile tea for sensitive skin or plain yogurt for a more moisturizing take.

I know it looks cool like this, but wait until it gets wet. This stuff is GREEN! I looked totally weird and wonderful and I could feel my pores tightening while I tried to wait the suggested 10-20 minutes. I only lasted about 5 before I rinsed it off but spritzing with water would have prolonged its wearability. I rinsed it off in the shower and didn’t dare use a wash cloth until it was off.

PHB Ethical Beauty Lip Crayon in Tiger Lily (£8.95, about $11.50 in USD) I could only find the shade “Pink” on this British company’s website, and shipping will add to the price of this pencil.

Here it is swatched. It is very soft and suitable for all over lip color or as a liner. It was metallic yet opaque and the shade was a pink/peach salmon color. I mixed it with a little bit of matte long-lasting lip color and spread it around on my lips to make it last longer.

I liked the variety of items in my April Vegan Cuts Beauty Box! I love my new lemon fresh body scrub and the face oil and mask will get used up! This box had a value of $42.32, which is almost twice the price paid for the box!
