Nerd Block Jr is a subscription box for boys or girls ages 6-11 (you pick the box – boy or girl) that is a monthly surprise of fun little toys for kids. They’re part of the Nerd Block Family – check any of them out here. With my two boys we get the boy box. However, we have gotten the girl one before and really liked it too. There is no hiding this box when it comes. The design on the outside is phenomenal and you really know what you are getting.

The boxes now include a shirt! We love all of the shirts we’ve gotten so far and they wash and wear really well.

First look in the boy box for January. There isn’t much packaging to these as all the items are just in the box itself but with the pattern of the box, all the way through it still looks awesome!

DEAL: Save 15% on your first month with coupon code HelloSub16.

The information card provides a list of all the items included in the box.

Your little boy will surely love what Nerd Block Jr. for Boys has come up for next month: Pokemon, Transformers, Avengers, and Emoji. My boys were already trying to guess what they might get.

Everything in the January 2017 box!

Marvel T-shirt from Shirtpunch – I was so excited when I saw this shirt and the pattern in the box. We love Marvel and seeing the characters in the letters is so fun and exciting but there seems to be a sizing issue with this one. We have been getting the same shirt from them and they are a little big on my son but still wearable but this one is huge!  He will be growing into it but it is just odd that it is so big.

Look how big it is. It goes all the way own to his knees. Still a great shirt and well made so we will put it in the closet for sleeping and then when he grows a bit which seems to be happening so quickly.

Ocean Wonders ($2.99)  – I remember loving these kinds of things when I was younger and can’t wait to pull these out on a rainy day when we need some indoor excitement. You just take the small animals and put them in water and they will expand.

Spit Balls ($2.99) – My son is already dying to use these and I’ve kept them from him for now. I had no clue that there was such a thing but he thinks it is hysterical. I’ve decided it is a father-son activity one night and they can go out and spit these around to each other.

Teen Titans Go and R2D2 Backpack clips –  So exciting to get more backpack accessories in this month’s box.  If you didn’t know keychains/zipper pulls are all the rage in elementary schools and they load their bags up and my boys are no exception. My oldest says he gets the R2D2 since it goes with his BB-8 from last month and my little one ran off with the Teen Titan.

Velvet Coloring Pack – This is a nerdblock exclusive and it will make another great rainy day activity. These are very lush velvet sheets that the kids can color with markers.

National Geographic Kids ($4.99 each or you can get a year with 10 for $15) – We’ve been getting these in outbox for a couple months now and they make me smile. I love magazines and getting these and seeing my boys reading them makes me so happy.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Micro Lite and Adhesive Patch – We always love getting a toy in a bag in the box and this was no exception.  We opened it up and got Leonardo and the fun little lite shows green when you push on the little guy. The adhesive patch is really just a nice thick and heavy sticker. I’m adding this to our sticker drawer and I’m sure it will make a great addition to one of my sons creations.

There’s also a $10 coupon included when you purchase from ShirtPunchShirt Punch has shirts as low as $10 (shipping $6), so you can get a shirt around $6, which is an awesome deal.

Another fun month for Nerd Block Jr.! We love all the items and will be using them soon except for the shirt that was a bit big but they will grow into that.  I was excited to see activities for my boys this month and not just toys. This gives us some fun we can use together on a rainy day when we are looking for something new.  We will get lots of us with these items. Nerd Block does a great job of selecting fandoms and items that kids will love and there is such a wide range in items there is always something for everyone.
