Nomadik is a subscription box for outdoor enthusiasts. Each month, expect to receive unique, functional gear designed to increase your fun in the outdoors. All products have been trail tested by an outdoor adventurer and will often incorporate new technologies. Each box will contain one main product, between one and three smaller products and one or two inspirational items to get you outdoors.

DEAL: Save $5 on your first box with code HELLO5OFF!

Each box costs $30 with discounts available for long-term subscriptions. Nomadik’s goal is to provide boxes whose retail values are roughly $40. Although they may fall just short of that some months, other months will have a slightly higher retail value.

Nomadik’s December 2016 box contained a hammock, utensil set and a survival tool. I like how the curator includes descriptions of each item along with their retail values on the enclosed information card.

Grand Trunk’s Ultralight Hammock ($29.99) is a 12 oz comfortable hammock in a stuff sack that’s just waiting to be taken out on an adventure. It’s rated to 200 lbs (static, dead load), making it ideal for smaller adventurers. Made from Polyester Taffeta, this hammock expands to 9’6″ x 4’6″. Trunk Straps are available from Grand Trunk if desired.

USF’s Survival Card Tool 0.5 ($2.99) is a pocket-sized work horse. It fits easily inside one’s pocket or wallet. It contains the following tools: knife edge, flat head screwdriver, bottle opener, ruler, hex wrench, lanyard hole, saw blade, butterfly wrench and can opener.

To Go Ware’s Reusable Bamboo Utensil Set ($12.95) weighs 0.1 lbs and contains a fork, knife, spoon and chopsticks in a recycled plastic bag that attaches to your pack by carabiner. The heat and stain resistant utensils are finished in a natural, food-safe wood oil.

I’m always looking for a yummy looking camp recipe, and this sounds perfect for my family. I look forward to making this around our next campfire!

As someone who enjoys hiking, tent camping, animal tracking and just hanging out in the outdoors, I love Nomadik! The products are always top notch, useful and cool.
