The Match-Up is a subscription box by eSalon. Receive your choice of 3 hair care, styling, or brow and accessory items for only $30 per order (plus $4.95 S&H), saving you up to 45% off retail prices on all non-hair color products.  Also, add up to 2 bonus items for an additional 25% off each add-on. All products have a 100% guarantee. You can control the frequency of your Match-Up deliveries (from 4-12 weeks), modify your ship date, or skip any upcoming order. Try your first Match-Up for $15!

Choose between two options. Your Pick allows you to personally mix & match your own products every order. With Expert Pick, the hair professionals at eSalon make tailored suggestions based on your hair care needs and styling habits (you’ll create a hair profile). Through your account page, you can switch between modes anytime before your products are due to ship. For this box, I opted for Your Pick.

My product information card included a brief description of each item along with my savings. There’s also a brief hair tip or “Love Note” from the eSalon team.

Your products arrive wrapped in this reusable cloth bag. I love these bags and keep reusing them for stashing miscellaneous items from my bedroom in them. They are really great and can hold a ton.

Gaining Strength Repair Shampoo ($15.00): This shampoo felt so good on my hair. I had been using Heart Lock It, eSalon’s color safe shampoo and I love that one but I wanted to mix it up. This one felt just as good and I’m going to have to start alternating them.

This is our remedy for over-treated, over-processed hair. Our sulfate-free cleanser gently removes product buildup while helping to replenish weakened, stressed-out strands. Add this to your shampoo library if you dye, bleach, perm or chemically straighten and whip damage back into revitalized, renewed shape.

At Full Strength Repair Conditioner ($15.00): This conditioner has great slip and easily worked through tangles. I’d been using Love Unconditionally from eSalon, which is the conditioner they send when you get your hair color from them with that subscription and I do love it as well. My hair has been feeling dry and just blah lately so I think getting this and mixing it up was perfect timing. My hair felt softer and not as dry after using.

Weakened, fragile strands need serious replenishment, so we developed our conditioner to rehab over-processed or over-styled hair back into strong standing. Extra detangling so you don’t add to the breakage count, our formula locks onto the hair cuticle to help protect against damage for a resilient, gorgeous finish.

Professional Kit Coloring Tools ($20.00): I’m so excited for these. I’ve been using the eSalon Coloring Services about every 8 weeks and just using what I have but this will really help with the process. I always feel like I don’t use enough of the color since there is some left when I’m done and I’m expecting the brush and bowl to help me get it all in the right places.  My hair is longer (below my shoulders) and being able to clip it up well has also been an issue. These clips are tight and big and will be great for sectioning before I get started.

We believe professional tools give (the best) professional results. Our 4-piece kit contains all the elements you need for the best color results, including coloring bowl, brush, four large hair clips and digital timer with battery. Section, mix and apply your color like a pro.

Purchased individually, these items would have cost me $50. By using The Match-Up service I saved $20. I chose the Your Pick option because I didn’t need any color enhancer right now. I do love my enhancer and it is usually on the Expert pick but since I’m good with that I did my own choices to get some items that I was needing right now.  I love that I can choose between the options each time I order and its very easy.
