Postcard-sized quoted picture silhouette. I love the watercolor background and the quote makes me think of a loved one.
The flip side is a nicely written thank you note from our curator as well as a simple list of the contents I should find inside the Love Letters themed box.

“A love story to best friends everywhere. Smart, charming, and delightful.” ― Kirkus Reviews

It’s the summer of 1982, and for Scott and Cath, everything is about to change.

Growing up across the street from each other, Scott and Cath have been best friends for most of their lives. Now they’ve graduated high school, and Cath is off to college while Scott stays at home trying to get his band off the ground. Neither of them realized that their first year after high school would be so hard.

Fortunately, Scott and Cath still have each other, and it’s through their letters that they survive heartache, annoying roommates, family dramas, and the pressure of figuring out what to do with the rest of their lives. And through it all, they realize that the only person they’ve ever wanted to turn to is each other. But does that mean they should think about being more than friends? One thing is clear, Change is an inescapable part of growing up, and we share unbreakable bonds with the friends who help us navigate it.

This funny, extraordinary, and deeply moving book―set to an awesome ’80s soundtrack―captures all the beautiful confusion and emotional intensity we find on the verge of adulthood…and first love.

We Are Still Tornadoes by Michael Kun and Susan Mullen is not to be missed!

I’m looking forward to reading this book, I love a good love story based on friendship. I think the best selling point for me is that it’s set in the 80’s, as an 80’s baby I just can’t get enough.
Readathon Schedule. I love this idea as a way of keeping young readers on point to finish a book within a month. I might have to adapt this idea for my own reading, I’m planning on completing 30 books in 2017.
This side tells you how to participate in the readathon.
Pride and Prejudice soap. A divine-scented soap bar made of goat’s milk by The MacBath. I may have laughed far too hard and too long at the name, MacBath. I’m a literary nerd and not afraid to admit it.
Now if the beautiful lavender scent doesn’t just make this your favorite soap perhaps the carved quote will. “It is a truth universally acknowledged,” I like this so much that I may just keep it as a decoration.
An exclusive coaster for my cup of tea made from upcycled book pages of Persuasion by Favoring Brave. I love taking previously loved items and making them into new and exciting household trinkets. Coasters are my favorite thing to make, normally I use comic book pages but this has inspired me.
Signed postcard from The Adler Tales Book One: Blossom and the Beast by RS McCoy.
One the back side we get a little information as to what the genre of the book with be and ways to learn more about the author. I love the smudged heart because it couldn’t have been mass produced.
First Edition Tea Co. Pride and Prejudice in Citrus & Roasted Mate Herbal Tea. Apple, orange pieces, and rosehips add to the amazing scent of this tea. It makes for a great cup of tea, for relaxing with a good book.
A quill pen. I wish this was metal instead of plastic but still it’s still so much fun. I am super happy with this, it writes evenly and very fine. I can’t wait to start my next handwritten project.
“I am half agony, half hope” notepad. This notepad is adorable. The lines are so tiny that I’m not sure I’ll be able to use it, but that’s okay, pretty blue roses are a good statement for my desk.
February’s theme is Out of this World.
Just enough of a teaser to make you wish January would hurry up and be done already.
I found these little gems hidden tightly inside the jacket of the book. We have a signed sticker with both authors signatures. A personal letter to readers talking about the style it’s written in and dating advice from the main characters. My favorite part is the Mix Tape list. These personal touches really made me feel like this book was written just for me.
Book Boyfriend Box is a mixture of fun products and good books. It’s a good thing I’m already married or this box would keep me single because I’d never leave the house. A hot cup of tea with a place to set it, a book and a wonderfully scented soap to clean up with… I am a happy girl. My favorite part of the entire box is the teaser for February! I wish this was a monthly box instead of every other month but then I’d really get nothing accomplished.

As an Austen-ophile, I need to have this box. I will admit, sheepishly, to naming my cat Fitzwilliam after Mr. Darcy. These quotations all have a special place in my heart:

“You have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love…I love…I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on.”

“It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of good fortune must be in want of a wife.”

And my favourite from Persuasion: “You pierce my soul. I am half agony, half hope. Tell me not that I am too late, that such precious feelings are gone for ever. I offer myself to you again with a heart even more your own than when you almost broke it, eight years and a half ago. Dare not say that man forgets sooner than woman, that his love has an earlier death. I have loved none but you.”

    Great choices, Book Boyfriend!

What a fun box. As soon as I saw it was set in the 80s I was excited too. The mix tape is awesome. Enjoy!!!
