An included guide also tells you where all the goodies come from! They really did touch multiple countries and brought in a variety of flavors to pique the interest of many palates. You might not like all of it, but then again, if you are adventurous enough to try this type of box out, you already know that that is okay! Exploring Latin American treats from the comfort of your home is the point here.

As you can see, the box was certainly filled with a variety of goodies. There were lots of different types of cookies, candy, plantain chips, and a pineapple soda.

The first thing I went in for were these strawberry gummy candies with chili and sugar on the outside from Mexico. I am familiar with them from growing up on the southern border and was happy to find that they were nice and soft. These get hard when they get old. These were definitely on the fresher side.

My next treat was also Mexican chili candy. In this case, the mango flavored lollipop rolled in chili powder hit the spot. It is always nice to come across these authentic treats of my childhood.

Bubu Lubu makes a mini?!? While this treat disappears in a couple of bites, the chocolate covered marshmallow with a strawberry jelly/jello combo hit the spot.

Finally, on the candy front, these Super Natilla caramel chews were similar to the consistency of a Tootsie Roll, but with caramel goodness as the flavor.

After the candies, I focused on the assortment of cookies. Get your cup of coffee ready because the cookie variety was quite nice.

The Terrabusi Classico from Argentina was a lovely chocolate covered and thick cakey cookie filled with Dulce de Leche. They also included a cup of Dulce de Leche from Colombia, which could be used to spruce up bread, cookies or  crackers.

The Casino cookie from Peru was a nice vanilla flavor that was sweet, but not overly so. The cookie was filled with Lucuma flavored cream. Lucuma is a fruit that is native to Peru. If I ever come across these in a grocery store, I will be sure to buy an entire bag, they were tasty!

The Cua Cua Wafer from Peru is chocolate covered and filled with vanilla cream. It reminded me of Little Debbie’s Nutty Bars, but with a thinner wafer.

The wafer selection continued in this box with the chocolate filled wafer from Bauducco out of Brazil. I wasn’t a fan of this one as I felt it left a coating on my mouth. The Arcor Turron & Mani from Argentina, however, was quite tasty. It had a wafer with a peanutty nougat filling. This one could make a nice snack between meals, not just be a candy treat.

The Barritas de Fresa out of Mexico is a nice shortbread cookie with a strawberry filling. The cookie bar was very soft and wrapped in a package of 2. There were 2 packs in the bag. Finally, the Don Satur biscochos dulces from Argentina were little cookies rolled in sugar. I didn’t find them to be super sweet but think they go well with a cup of coffee.
