You can choose from a 1, 3, or 12-month plan and all plans auto renew. Most of the books will be from the romance genre but they may occasionally send mystery, erotica, YA, and paranormal books too.

On top, there was a collectible postcard featuring the Fresh Fiction foxy mascot, Vixen.

DEAL: Save $3 on your first Fresh Fiction Not To Miss box with coupon code HELLO.

The books were snuggled under their shredded paper nest. I received 3 paperbacks, 1 hardback, codes for 4 ebooks, a collectible pin and postcard, and a Rice Krispies Treat. One thing to keep in mind is that boxes may vary. Everyone will receive 4 out of 15 print books and the same 4 downloadable books for November.

This is the flip side of the postcard.

Fresh Fiction sends a sweet treat and collectible keepsake in each box. I received a pin featuring Vixen, a Rice Krispies Treat, and a pen from an author of “Racy Regency Romps”, one of which is included in this box!

First up are 4 downloadable ebooks:

Seaside Lovers by Melissa Foster ($4.99 for Kindle)

Rule Breaker by Sienna Snow ($3.99 for Kindle)

Auctioning Affection by Allyson Lindt ($3.99 for Kindle)

Ukulele Murder by Leslie Langtry ($4.99 for Kindle)

These books have high ratings on Goodreads and Amazon!

Now, on to the paperbacks! Note: I placed the list price first and then gave the current selling price from Amazon.com.

Deadly Silence by Rebecca Zanetti ($14.99 $10.99) is Book 1 of 2 in The Blood Brothers series and falls under the romantic suspense category.

Under siege. That’s how Ryker Jones feels. The Lost Bastards Investigative Agency he opened up with his blood brothers has lost a client in a brutal way. The past he can’t outrun is resurfacing, threatening to drag him down in the undertow. And the beautiful woman he’s been trying to keep at arm’s length is in danger…and he’ll destroy anything and anyone to keep her safe.

Paralegal Zara Remington is in over her head. She’s making risky moves at work by day and indulging in an affair with a darkly dangerous PI by night. There’s a lot Ryker isn’t telling her and the more she uncovers, the less she wants to know. But when all hell breaks loose, Ryker may be the only one to save her. If his past doesn’t catch up to them first…

Full of twists and turns you won’t see coming, DEADLY SILENCE is New York Times bestselling author Rebecca Zanetti at her suspenseful best.

No Witness But the Moon by Suzanne Chazin ($25 $18.75) is the first hardcover book that I have received from this subscription and is in the crime/suspense/thriller genre.

In this powerful novel from award-winning author Suzanne Chazin, a tense stand-off between a Hispanic police officer and an undocumented immigrant leads to the shooting death of one, the shattered life of the other, and the shocking connection between them. . .

On a clear, moonlit night in December, police detective Jimmy Vega races to the scene of a reported home invasion in an upscale New York community. As Vega arrives, he spots a Hispanic man who fits the description of the armed intruder, running from the victim’s estate. Vega chases him into the woods. When the suspect refuses to surrender—and reaches into his pocket—Vega has only seconds to make a life-or-death decision.

What begins as a tragic mistake takes an even darker turn when Vega uncovers disturbing links between the dead man and his own mother’s brutal, unsolved murder. Vega’s need for answers propels him back to his old Bronx neighborhood, where he is viewed as a disgraced cop, not a homegrown hero. It also puts him at odds with his girlfriend, Adele Figueroa, head of a local immigrant center, who must weigh her own doubts about his behavior.

When a shocking piece of evidence surfaces, it becomes clear that someone doesn’t want Vega to put all the pieces together—and is willing to do whatever it takes to bury the truth. Only by risking everything will Vega be able to find justice, redemption, and the most elusive goal of all: the ability to forgive himself.

The Legendary Lord by Valerie Bowman ($7.99 $6.77) is the 6th book in the Playful Brides series and is set in Regency times (yay!) and Scotland (double yay!).

THE MAKING OF A LEGEND…

When Christian Forester, Viscount Berkeley, flees the stuffy ballrooms of London for his Scottish hunting lodge, the last thing he expects to find ensconced before his fire is an incredibly beautiful woman. But the plight of lovely young Sarah Highgate, who has run away from an unwanted betrothal, inspires an eminently practical exchange. He’ll safeguard her reputation with the ton while she advises him how to best attract a proper bride…

As the undisputed belle of the season, Sarah has enchanted plenty of suitors. Still, she isn’t interested in marriage, especially not to the pompous bore her father has chosen for her. But her hasty escape seems reckless now that she’s estranged from her family and has no one to count on besides Christian. Turning the luckless lord into such a catch has another unplanned consequence for Sarah: Has he run away with her heart?

There has been a Harlequin Romance in each box and this one has an adorable baby on the cover! The Cowboy SEAL’s Jingle Bell Baby by Laura Marie Alton ($5.50) hasn’t even been released yet but can be pre-ordered. I had no idea what a cowboy seal was but then I figured out it was a cowboy SEAL and that made more sense.

A BABY FOR CHRISTMAS?

Tiffany Lawson promised herself that she would never, ever give her heart to a man again. Now she’s a pregnant former rodeo queen and ex-debutante struggling to support her mother and grandmother. She’s already picked out the perfect adoptive parents, but cowboy Navy SEAL Rowdy Jones isn’t letting anyone take his child.

Rowdy loves the rush that comes from being a Navy SEAL, but finding out he’s about to become a dad? That trumps everything. While he and Tiffany shared only one night, Rowdy’s determined to do right by her and their baby. His next mission—to win Tiffany and keep his son—might be his toughest yet…

I always look forward to getting my monthly box o’books! I love the variety of books and enjoy being able to choose based on whatever I feel like reading at any given time, be it a mystery, romance, or even a short and sweet/hot/light read. This month my box was worth $59.97, more than double the price of the subscription! These books have high ratings on Amazon and are so fresh that at least one wasn’t even available to the general public yet!
