Sisley Paris Beauty Subscription Box Review – September 2016

Sisley Paris Beauty Subscription is a monthly beauty subscription service starring 5 luxurious, expensive samples of products that would normally be found at upscale department stores such as Saks, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, or Nordstrom. It is $10 a month, however, you must sign up for either a 6 or 12 month term. The 6 month term is $60 while the 12 month term is $100 ($20 savings). When the term expires it will not automatically renew. Members of the My Sisley Club with either Gold or Platinum status should automatically receive the box as long as they maintain their status.

My products arrived in an unmarked black box with no return address. My items were wrapped in tissue paper and sealed with a sticker.

Sisley Paris claims to harness the power of plants to create the best cosmetics for your skin.

My products were inside of a silky drawstring bag.

There was a welcome card that introduced the theme for September’s box, which was “The Basics”.

I love it when companies give instructions for using their products! Sisley Paris has it laid out nicely on their website too.

Everything in the box! They usually include 2 one-time use foil packs plus 3 deluxe sample sized products.

I started my skin care ritual by using Sisleÿa Essential Skin Care Lotion ($18.14), a creamy essence that you apply before your regular moisturizer and that is supposed to instantly replump the skin and smooth lines. The bottle isn’t squeezable so I had to shake it out onto my hand and ended up with either not enough or too much.

I always get a bit worried when I receive products with an instruction sheet! Sisleÿa L’Integral Anti-Age ($42.66) can be used day and night and is supposed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and increase radiance, firmness, and density. I slathered on about $30 worth this morning and had no idea! I should have only used $15 worth at one time. There’s not really enough to gauge whether it works but it did smell nice, like real lavender, and wasn’t greasy.

Sisleÿa Eye and Lip Contour Cream ($27.74) fights wrinkles, puffiness, and dark circles, conditions I am all too familiar with. Softens with shea butter and glycerin and had a very faint scent, like orange blossoms.

I love body products and am always happy to try new lotions such as the Restorative Fluid Body Cream ($8.58). This is enough for one full-body application. It was moisturizing but not greasy and had a lavender and geranium scent that didn’t interfere with my perfume. This lotion contains shea butter and aloe and I enjoyed it.

I often forget about the skin below my chin but the Neck Cream ($13.76) reminded me to give this area some TLC. It had a light peach tint and soft floral fragrance and is supposed to be used twice a day for 2 months and then once a day thereafter for maintenance. Sunflower seed oil, shea butter, and glycerin are the softeners this time around but horse chestnut and caffeine extracts also contribute as vein strengtheners and fat eliminators.

I really enjoyed trying these products that were made in France! I won’t be purchasing them due to the price but for $10 a month I can splurge and not feel guilty about it. My September box had a value of $110.88! These samples won’t last long but for a few days I can enjoy a luxurious beauty experience. I thought the products this month were great for me personally since I look for anti-aging and moisturizing abilities in my beauty choices.

October’s box theme is “The Evening Ritual” and will include “a curated collection to help you wake up looking rejuvenated, revived, rested and energized”.
