Nomadik is a subscription box for outdoor enthusiasts that helps you “get outside, explore, and have some fun–it’s good for the soul!” – Pat Hines, Nomadik’s Founder

Each month, expect to receive unique, functional gear designed to increase your fun in the outdoors. All products have been trail tested by an outdoor adventurer and will often incorporate new technologies. Each box will contain one main product, between one and three smaller products and one or two inspirational items to get you outdoors.

Each box costs $30 with discounts available for long-term subscriptions. Nomadik’s goal is to provide boxes whose retail values are roughly $40. Although they may fall just short of that some months, other months will have a slightly higher retail value.

September 2016’s box contains the following: a knife, a bandana, a bag and a squeeze pouch.

I like how the curator includes descriptions of each item along with their retail values on the enclosed information card.

The MoraKniv Basic 511 Knife ($10.14) is made in Mora, Sweden. Boasting both a large finger guard for protection and a carbon steel blade, if treated well, this knife will last you through all of your adventures (be sure to wipe dry and apply oil for storage).

I was excited to receive the Know Your Knots Bandana ($14)! I have always wanted to learn more knots, and using this looks like a great way to start! Awesome!

This Black Daisy Standard Baggu ($9) is a neat reusable bag that can be folded down to fit in a 5″ x 5″ pouch. The bag can hold up to 50 pounds by weight and 2-3 grocery bags worth of groceries by volume. This will come in handy on car camping trips this fall.

Munk Pack’s Blueberry Acai Flax Oatmeal Fruit Squeeze ($2.50 based on the cost of 6) was yummy! It tasted sweet and had a bit of acid. The oatmeal gave it some texture. It’s a vegan, gluten-free snack that I would happily eat on any outdoor adventure.

As someone who enjoys hiking, tent camping, animal tracking and just hanging out in the outdoors, I love Nomadik! The products are always top notch, useful and cool.
