Vegan Cuts Beauty Box is a monthly beauty subscription service that sends 4-7 items ranging from unique cosmetics to luxurious skin care. Best of all, they are 100% cruelty-free! Monthly recurring shipments are $22.95 with free shipping in the USA (there is an additional charge for other countries). This sub is also available in 6 or 12 month terms that do not renew but that do earn you a discount.

Vegan Cuts doesn’t offer customization and sends items that are suitable for almost everyone. They promise not to send foundation or other items that match a specific skin tone and instead send makeup items that are as inclusive as possible with possible variations in shades. They also promise a value of at least $30 but have sent boxes that are significantly above that mark.

Everything in my box! My items were shipped in a brown cardboard box and were cushioned with shredded brown paper. Vegan Cuts sends deluxe “travel” sized or full-sized products and rarely sends single use packets.

There was a product information card that included a coupon code for a shop purchase and info on how you can win a free box by sharing your box on social media.

The flip side of the card listed each item and the retail value. It also gave the theme, which for September was “Back to Beauty School!”. It didn’t give usage instructions so if you are unsure how to use an item you may need to do a little research. Or keep reading, cause I did the work for you!

First up is this shampoo and conditioner duo from William Roam, a company that proudly makes its products in the USA and can be found in hotels. Both the Shampoo and Conditioner contain Minnesota Tamarack Larch Tree extract and are sulfate-free. This states it is perfect for all hair types plus it lathered well, which is important for my fine hair. I would say it has a unisex natural scent that doesn’t last very long, so you won’t smell like a forest. ($7.33 each)

Page Ashbury Facial Moisturizer Featuring Neroli & Jasmine (no size given but according to the card it’s a $7.50 value) has a lovely orange-blossom scent and contains aloe, glycerin, and jojoba oil. I liked the fact that I could hover over the ingredients on their website and find out exactly what they are and how/why they are used.

I started my morning with a brisk rub down with SK Pure Essentials Jasmine Citrus Body Rub ($4.50). This is the first time I have used this brand’s product and I noticed it wasn’t as oily as other sugar scrubs I have tried. It was pretty much the same consistency as brown sugar and left my chest red but the rest of my body felt fine.  It has a bit of a citrus smell and also contains a variety of oils such as safflower, rice bran, moringa, and baobab.

The featured sneak-peek item this month was Gleam Lip Radiance by Melanie Mills in one of three shades: Naked, Uncontrollable, or Unstoppable ($24), which is the one I received. This highly pigmented gloss is smooth and not sticky and has a vanilla frosting flavor. It contains jojoba oil, vitamin E, and aloe but I couldn’t find a complete list of ingredients online or on the container. I like to know what I’m putting on my body, especially my mouth.

Here is the Lip Radiance swatched on my arm. I tried to apply it a little less thickly the second time but as you can see it went on just as bright!

I have received several Luxie brushes through Ipsy so I was happy to get this Blending Brush #227 ($16) since I know the quality is great! I use a windshield wiper back-and-forth motion to blend the crease so my eye makeup shades blend into each other.

Here’s a closeup of #227. So soft yet so effective.

What a great box this month from Vegan Cuts Beauty! The products were all useful and I discovered some new-to-me brands as well. I feel good knowing that “no bunny was harmed” in the making of these items and I feel like they are all effective and high-quality too. This box had a value of $66.66, which is more than double the promised value of $30!
