Fresh Fiction Box Not To Miss is a monthly book subscription that sends 5-7 books for $25.95. Shipping is free in the US but they also ship worldwide. You can choose from a 1, 3, or 12 month plan and all plans auto renew or you can buy a one-time box from their online shop. They send 2-3 new release print books, codes for 2-3 downloadable ebooks, a collectible item, and a sweet treat! Most of the books will be from the romance genre but they may occasionally send mystery, erotica, YA, and paranormal books too.

On top there was a collectible postcard featuring the Fresh Fiction foxy mascot, Vixen.

The books were snuggled under their shredded paper nest.

Everything in the box! I received 3 paperbacks, codes for 4 ebooks, a collectible pin and postcard, and a lollipop. One thing to keep in mind is that boxes may vary. On the Fresh Fiction website they state that for September, everyone will receive 3 out of 9 paperbacks and everyone received the same 4 ebooks. Check out their page to see which 9 books are listed for September!

This is the flip side of the postcard.

Fresh Fiction sends a sweet treat and collectible keepsake in each box. I received a pin featuring Vixen, and a Tootsie Roll Lollipop.

First up are 4 downloadable ebooks:

A Novel Death by Elizabeth Ashby & Ellie Ashe ($4.99 for Kindle, $11.57 for paperback)

Top Shelf by Kelly Jamieson ($2.99 for Kindle)

Girl on the Run by Daryl Wood Gerber ($4.99 for Kindle, $12.99 for paperback)

Betrayal Foretold by Jen Crane ($3.99 Kindle, $10.99 paperback)

These books have high ratings on Goodreads and Amazon and were published this year!

There were 2 other inserts that allow you to read the first chapter of these books from a website.

Now, on to the paperbacks!

An Untimely Frost by Penny Richards ($15 $12.61) I’ve been waiting for a historical romance but a mystery sounds delightful too!

In 1881 Chicago, the idea of a female detective is virtually unheard of. But when famed crime buster Allan Pinkerton opens his agency’s doors to a handful of women, one intrepid actress with her own troubled past is driven to defy convention and take on a new and dangerous role. . .

Since the age of eleven, when her mother was murdered, the life of the theater is all Lilly Long has known. Now twenty-two, she has blossomed into an accomplished Shakespearean actress. But after her innocence–and her savings–are taken from her by a seductive scoundrel, Lilly vows to leave the stage, enter the real world, and save others from a similar fate. Following in the footsteps of the country’s first female detective, Lilly persuades Allan Pinkerton to take her on.

Lilly’s acting skills are a perfect fit for her real-life role as a Pinkerton operative. But her first case is a baptism by fire as she is sent to the small town of Vandalia to solve the mystery of a pastor who disappeared with his family–and the church’s funds. When Lilly arrives, she finds the mere mention of the reverend’s name provokes enmity or suspicious silence. Shadowed by a second Pinkerton agent with an agenda of his own, Lilly begins to uncover Vandalia’s sordid secrets. But she’ll have to deliver the performance of a lifetime to survive the final act of this drama.

The Sheikh’s Baby Scandal by Carol Marinelli ($4.99) So far I have received a Harlequin Novel in every box. They make for a quick read and usually have some steamy scenes and a happy ending.

Pregnant…by the playboy sheikh!

Playboy sheikh Kedah of Zazinia has loved every minute he’s spent earning his outrageous reputation! But about to claim the throne, and with a list of prospective brides being prepared, Kedah knows he must soon accept his royal duty…

A scorching night with his poised assistant, Felicia Hamilton, seems the perfect distraction—and her cool beauty masks a desire Kedah is hungering to ignite! But even Kedah isn’t prepared for the biggest scandal of all, when their one night together leaves Felicia pregnant with his baby!

Meant to be Mine by Lisa Marie Perry ($6.99) This is Book 1 of The Guilty Pleasures series so if you like it, rest assured, there is another on the way!

Loving him was hard. Wanting him was so damn easy . . .

Sofia Mercer may have been sick as a teen, but she’s no delicate flower. And she’s proven it by making it on her own and starting a new life away from the town that turned against her, away from the boy who broke her already fragile heart. But when her aunt Luz dies unexpectedly, leaving Sofia with a mountain of regrets and the keys to a quirky boutique, Sofia has no choice but to return to Cape Cod. Only, this new life in her old town comes with complications.

Burke Wolf was Sofia’s first love-a relationship that burned bright and went up in flames. Seeing him again, Sofia can’t help but get caught up in that all-too-familiar tornado of passion and pain. He’s battled his own demons-that much is clear. But Sofia can’t afford to be careless with her heart . . . and loving Burke again might just break it completely.

As always, I love this box! All of the books this month were published this year so they are indeed fresh and they all had great ratings on Amazon and Goodreads. I posted the list price first but then posted the current selling price on Amazon and using those sale prices my box was worth $41.55 (not including the pin and lollipop). Most of the books were romance novels as promised plus a couple of mysteries which is fine by me. I appreciate the fact that I now have several different books to choose from this month. I had trouble trying to download one of the ebooks though but I will keep trying and see if I can figure it out since it may have been user error.
