The theme of this month is Cherry Blossom! I love the drawing on the inside box.

The beads come well packaged in a pink organza bag that fits the theme. The box comes with a curator’s note explaining the theme. For the first time, they’ve included memory wire, bracelet size! Also, you can share your creation on their social media for a chance to get a little surprise in next month’s box.

The crate comes with a chart that tells you exactly what you’re getting. This month was worth about $33.

So much pink, the cherries are really blossoming this month! Everything comes in plastic bags and well labelled.

Beadalon Bracelet Stainless Steel Memory Wire 22 gauge, 5 loops. This is perfect to make a nice neat stack bracelet. You need heavy duty tools (wire cutter) to work with it, not your normal set of tools.

Four 14mm sueded gold rosaline cushions, czech glass. They are soooooo pretty! They are like little satin coins. They have a nice golden sheen to them, they look soft.

Two 20mm Cherry blossom shell beads. The holes goes sideways in relation to the drawing so they would look nice strung on a necklace or a bracelet, not as a pendant. They are lovely and I wish we would have received some red or black beads to go with them.

9mm Opaque luster : topaz/Pink flat squares czech glass. I feel they are more purple/lavender than pink, but they are really nice. They look like mosaic, so I would mix them with other squared beads.

8x4mm Crystal AB flowers, czech glass. Only one side of each flowers are AB coated, but they pack a lot of shine! They don’t look as dark as on the picture, they are white with some yellow, green, blue and pink coating. I can see them used in a stack bracelet with simple round beads to showcase the flowers, without going overboard with the cuteness!

Tiny beads! 11/0 toho pink ceylon japanese glass, 20 grams. They are translucent and with some light play, not matte. I really like the colour, it would go well in a vintage style piece with pearls and lace. They are perfect for bead weaving.

3mm opaque pink bicone crystal. They are about the same size as the Toho beads, so they would be perfect to give some texture to a weave or loomwork. I just wish we had more!

4mm Rosaline Bicone Czech Crystal. They are soooo pretty and gives a lot of sparks! They are light coloured, they are delicate enough for small design and you can never go wrong with them. Once again, I wish we had more!

6mm Coated Hot Pink Firepolished faceted rounds. Half the beads are hot pink and the other crystal white. They are lovely and will give a lot of texture to a design.

6mm Milky White bicone czech glass. They have an opal look to them. They are lovely in contrast with all the pink in this box!

More pink! 8x3mm Rosaline Dime Beads. I love flat beads for bracelet or for a long necklace. It gives a fullness to a project without being too bulky. I could see them used to get a cascading effect on a necklace.

8mm luster: transparent topaz/pink rounds czech glass. I love how transparent they are, but with just the right amount of details to give it some oomph. Paired with copper findings, it would look awesome!

4mm milky pink pressed glass rondelles. I like them and they would be perfect used as spacer beads with the 8mm round beads

A cherry blossom theme calls for a cherry blossom tree! I made this pendant with the Toho Pink Ceylon seed beads, some Milky Pink Pressed Rondelles and one Sueded Gold Rosaline Cushions as a moon. I just love the golden sheen of that bead, it gives a mystical feel to the moon! I’ve used copper and silver plated wire in different size for the frame and the tree. I also made a cherry blossom bracelet with four different beads from the box to which I’ve added antique copper and copper findings, a flower toggle clasp and a butterfly charm. I love mixing copper, or brass, to pink to give it a vintage/old look.

As usual, this box is great for bead weavers and beaders alike to jump start ideas. I’m not the biggest fan of pink, but I loved the flat pink beads and the shell beads. It was nice to have some white in there and some purpleish beads to cut down on the amount of pink we received this month! Because of the theme and the shell beads, I would have liked to have red or black beads, but I do understand the inspiration for this box, and everything looked nice together. And I still have three more Sueded Gold Rosaline Cushions beads to turn into moons for tree pendants! (I need more of them.)
