Horror Block is a monthly subscription box filled with some awesomely gruesome horror toys and collectibles. This box really starts with the box itself. We love seeing this one show up at my house and even my boys can’t wait to dig in. I love how this box does a great job of mixing older classic horror with new more currently well known titles.
First look at all the contents. We knew that there would be two POPs in this box and I was so happy when I saw them right in my box. Everything looked so nice and neat when I took my first glance.
Everything that came in this month’s box. Each month we will get 5-6 horror related items.
The front side of the information card.
Back side of the card and all of the descriptions. Horror Block has great information cards. They are informative but they also have fun with their descriptions. Make sure you read through them all.
Rue Morgue June 2016 Issue ($9.95) – Horror Block includes a monthly magazine from Rue Morgue. While not a magazine I would pick up off a shelf I actually like going through these each month. The magazine is a great quality with nice thick pages and lots of information.
Freddy Krueger Nightmare on Elm Street Pillowcase- This is an exclusive item to the box and I’m loving it. Nightmare on Elm Street was my favorite horror series of the time and I watched them over and over again. This pillow case feels nice and silky and has a zipper closure.
TurboKid ($24.99) – Another month and another movie that I have never heard of. Horror block is sending lesser known movies which are all in the horror genre and I’m enjoying them every month. This movie has some great reviews and I’m going to check it out soon.
It’s 1997. In a ruined post-apocalyptic world, the orphaned Kid survives on his own through drought-ridden nuclear winter, traversing the Wasteland on his BMX. When his perpetually chipper, pink-haired best friend Apple is kidnapped by minion of evil overlord Zeus, the Kid summons the courage of his comic book hero & prepares to deliver turbocharged justice to Zeus, his buzzsaw-handed sidekick Skeletron & their vicious masked army.
Shirtpunch Jaws T-shirt (This is an exclusive but other Shirtpunch shirts go for $19.99) – Oh my Gosh this shirt is AWESOME. I’m actually going to the beach next week so I will be taking it with me. Jaws is such a classic movie and a great one to celebrate in the hot summer months.
Funko POP! Willow ($10.99) – While my boys normally grab the Funkos and take them this one is all me. I love Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Willow totally rocks. I’m putting her in my collection in my office but I will say with her large head and small feet she keeps falling over so I’m going to have to see about a little stand for her or something.
Funko POP! Vaun ($8.88) – This one I’m letting my boys take for their display. They don’t know what The Strain is but they think all things vampire are great and being that Vaun is a vampire works for them.
This month’s Horror Block was so much more me then last months. I loved this one and the movies and shows represented. Really anything with Freddy and Buffy the Vampire Slayer and I’m a happy girl so they couldn’t go wrong in my book. I’ve also already got the shirt in the hamper so I can wash it to pack for my trip and I can’t wait to see what my friends think of it next week. Such a great summer box all around.
All Nerd Blocks starting with next moth will come with a $10 credit for ShirtPunch.com!
