Tambot is a subscription box that promises “Tampons delivered to your door. Before you need them.” The subscription is $10/month, plus $3 shipping. Not surprisingly (and to the relief of my teenage daughters), the products come in a plain brown box.
Opening the box, I was greeted with “Hello Gorgeous.” This makes me happy already. I like the black and white theme of the packaging too.
Tambot ships at the end of each month, with delivery before the 1st of the next month.
As the website states, each Tambot pack includes:
- 18 tampons (only the highest quality brands)
- Premium organic Zenbunni chocolate – handcrafted in Venice
- Assortment of calming Tazo tea
- One entry into our monthly giveaway
- 5 free pantyliners
The back of the “Hello Gorgeous” card tells me it’s going to walk through the box. In addition to the feminine products, the box includes handcrafted chocolate made “using organic heirloom spices, herbs, nuts, oils, salts, and minerals to soothe, delight, and nurture” me. Plus there’s an assortment of teas to calm me “during my week of suffering.” Because consistency is important, these come standard in each month’s box.
The tampons came in a muslin drawstring bag. Each month, Tambot sends an assortment of 18 tampons.
Tambot promises only to send quality brands. These are Tampax. We received 10 regular and 8 super absorbent tampons in our box. When you sign up, you can select from a couple of brands. You are also able to adjust your mix of regular and super.
The box also included 5 pantyliners.
As promised, there was a small bar of high quality craft chocolate from ZenBunni. Super tasty!
And last, but not least, an assortment of tea, all from Tazo! Tazo is high quality tea and I was happy to receive this mixture, which included a range from black tea blends to decaf green.
There are a couple things that set Tambot apart from other feminine product boxes. First, they have a monthly giveaway – they include a ticket with a raffle number in each box. The winner will be announced on their Instagram feed and by email. Second, they donate a box for every box purchased; my box indicated that a box was donated to DTLA Women’s Center. That’s pretty cool! I like that my purchase is helping homeless women – no matter what your life situation, that time of the month affects us all. Kudos to Tambot for this side of the program!
I am a big fan of “time of the month” boxes, especially having two teen girls in the house. As the card in the box says, “Things are going to get much easier from here on out.”
