Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. Your stylist will send you 5 pieces based on your profile for you to try on at home and hopefully fall in love with. There are no coupons for Stitch Fix but if you hit the jackpot and keep everything, you save 25% on your whole fix (read below for details).
Everything always comes wrapped so neatly! It makes it really fun to open!
Stitch Fix now has shoes available! You can set your size and preferences in your profile.
Every box includes a set of styling cards with suggestions on how to wear the particular item. There’s usually a dressed up (right) and dressed down (left) version for each piece of clothing. I do wish these cards were accessible in your Stitch Fix profile. If you email them they’ll send them via PDF. Stitch Fix customer service has been super helpful lately! I also find the styling cards very helpful. I am not a naturally good-at-fashion person and these help a LOT. Even if I don’t keep the pieces I use them as inspiration – like my own personal fashion editor!
I was really excited about the addition of shoes – it’s something that I truly hate shopping for!
Here’s how Stitch Fix works: fill out your style profile! This includes style, budget, what you’re looking for, and you can get as detailed as you want with the notes to your stylist. It really really does help to provide notes to what you’re seeking, and a Pinterest board if you have one!
You will also receive a separate paper with a list of your items. You’ll be charged a $20 styling fee and shipped five items to try on at home. If you keep anything your styling fee will be applied to your order, but if you don’t, you will pay the $20 fee. This is so worth it. If you keep everything you get a 25% discount, so it pays off to be specific. You will check out and get charged through your Stitch Fix account. Return the pieces you don’t want in the prepaid mailer (free shipping!).
Everything in my fix for April.
Mia Amari Scallop Trim Flats ($39) I wanted to say that I loved these shoes. And actually they were pretty good, but I think even the casual observer can see my big toes being squished by the shoes below. What a bummer. Stitch Fix provided a place to enter my shoe size:
And silly me, since they put wide in there, I thought they’d find and send me wide shoes. NOPES! It’s a total waste of an item to send shoes that are off the bat the wrong size – wide isn’t some sort of preference, I have actually wide feet. I was really disappointed in this – but the shoes are cute, so if you have medium feet, go ahead and get some shoes in your next fix!
Loveappella Thellen Lace Cuff Hem Knit Top ($54) I was actually wearing a top from Stitch Fix made out of this exact fabric when I opened this box. So I liked the fabric, but everything about this shirt was wrong for me – I don’t like really wide necks because of bra issues, and the edging wasn’t my style.
Loveappella Leila Knit Dress ($64) Different matter entirely – I kept this super soft and flattering dress! It was a real win for me, and I can’t wait to accessorize it! It’s also multi-season and appropriate for our cooler Pennsylvania summers.
Loveappella Paulo 3/4 Sleeve Lace Detail Knit Top ($58) I’m not really sure why Loveappella was in my box 3 times! I could have gone for the lace detail on the front…
But the back was a little much for me. It was just a tad on the fussy side. I love my basics!
Market & Spruce Suva Cargo Jacket ($78) This is cute and fun!! I do wish it was stretchy though, sometimes with twill jackets I feel like i’m in a straitjacket, so I passed on keeping this one, especially with the color.
I felt that the red & black vibe might have been better for February, and I was hoping for a lot more spring in my fix this month. I was really happy with the item I kept, and I’m generally happy with any fix that does include a keeper, but I’m also hoping that my stylist can get it together – I had the same stylist all of last year and they switched on me, and I think it’s time to work with someone else.
I also had a mid-month fix last month that didn’t do it for me (you guys know that I’m actually addicted to Stitch Fix and I will get a new fix asap!):
I ended up keeping the skirt from this batch. I was particularly disappointed in that fix because my stylist notes say that I hate colorblock! I’ve already sent the email requesting a different stylist.

I loved those flats but like you I too have wide feet. My sister calls them hobbit feet lol so pointy shoes and ALL flats look weird on me. Hopefully next fix is better for you so you can use that 25%discount
ballet flats look the worst on me! eggggh!
