RawBox Subscription Box Review – January 2016

RawBox is a monthly subscription box intent on delivering only the healthiest snacks and cleanest lifestyle products.  The snacks are all raw and plant-based, free of gluten, wheat, dairy, soy, and many other common food sensitivity triggers.

The January Theme is Happy New Year! Raw Box provided a few good ideas on how to make goals. Also, Raw Box is an excellent choice for those making life style changes!!!

The box includes a giant double-sided information card with recipes, tips, complete information on each product, and a nice letter from the curators.

The Amazing Grass Shaker Cup and 7 Flavors of Superfood Packets ($9.99) is a simple way to learn more about raw shakes and smoothies as superfoods. It’s also ideal for people on the go. Add the pocket to your beverage using the spill proof Amazing Grass Shake Cup, shake, and drink.

The Machu Picchu Mix Organic Power Blend ($4.50) contains Goldenberries, Cashews, Wild Jungle Peanuts, Raisins and Cacao Nibs. It has an earthy, sweet taste with a tad of citrus in it. The mix wins for being the most visually appealing!

The Curt’s Classic Kale SuperFood Seasoning ($6.99) contains 5 cups of kale. Use it in place of salt or pepper. Or add it on popcorn, salads, soups, and more. It’s a simple way to work towards the goal of having better health.

The Pure Planet Sports Salt Pocket Pack ($8.99) assist in rehydration, may speed up recovery, and reduce headaches due to loss of trace minerals and electrolytes. It works best if taken within 30-60 minutes before the workout. The ingredients are Potassium Bicarbonate, Magnesium Carbonate, and Himalayan Pink Salt. It’s a great inclusion at a time when everyone starts the new year with improved workouts.

My family is familiar with That’s It Bars ($3.30). The fruit bars are made with two ingredients which are the pictures on the bars. They are on the low end of the glycemic c scale which means you won’t crash after eating them. They also contain 4 grams of fiber which fills you up.

The Saavy Naturals Oatmeal Almond Body Cream ($12.00) has shea butter in it! Subscribers received one of four scents -Plumeria Violet, Yuzu & Meyer Lemon, Bulgarian Rose, and Oatmeal Almond. It’s free of gluten, soy, parabens, artificial colors, petroleum products, phenoxyethanol, SLS, PECs, and propylene glycol. It has an amazing almond scent that I love and absorbs easily into the skin.

T, age 16 at the time, drunk the Solar Rain Zero Water ($1.29) which is distilled water. The company uses vapor distilling to produce the purest form of water. He said it tasted fine.

Only about 20% of plastics end up in a recycling center. The Tribest Glass Dharma Drinking Straw ($11.50) is an excellent way to stop using plastic straws. The straws are dishwasher and microwave safe, and is made from borosilicate glass. It comes with a lifetime guarantee! The company will replace or repair your straw if it breaks.

The Gorilly Goods Originals ($2.00) contains bananas, cashews, pecans, coconuts, walnuts, raisins, coconut nectar, and sea salt. Everything is organic except for the sea salt.  It has a great crunchy taste. 2% of the profits go to the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund.

The Rawxies Smoke Paprika Crunch ($4.50) is a savory snack. It’s a snack for seed lovers. My husband said it tasted good.

The Raw Box January box was perfectly curated for those looking to make small changes and those further along in their journey.  The variety of food, beauty, and supplements made it a box that had something for everyone. The items selected works for everyone in their audience of raw foodists, vegans, vegetarians, celiacs, paleoists, athletes, dieters and more. Here’s to keeping our goals for better living in 2016.
