Golden Tote is a monthly fashion grab bag – Get new pieces monthly that are fashionable, seasonable, and affordable. When you pick the $149 tote you select two pieces and then you get 5-7 pieces with a total value of up to $600! When you get the $49 tote you pick one item and get 2 (or sometimes 3). Unlike regular subscriptions you have to purchase it every month, but you can return it (the whole thing or none of it – or you can return surprise items but keep boutique items for the boutique price).

January Chosen Items – The items I picked as the basis of my tote.
Fair Isle Cocoon Cardi ($40) I love this one, but I do really wish it came to my wrists instead of my elbows – I’ll have to wear it with a long sleeve top. It’s lightweight but adds a nice layer.
Mixed Print Cardigan ($60) I’m really a huge fan of Golden Tote’s southwestern-inspired prints and knits! I had to select this one because of the length (it will keep my butt warm) and the really fun style! I also love the visual illusion at the waist!
January Surprise Items – Note that I guesstimated on all of the prices
Blush Noir Diamond Pattern Sweater ($35?) This is an OK top for me, but I was thrilled to get another sweater when I already got two as my chosen items! It definitely meets the warm & cozy bill! It runs very large so it’s more like a slouchy sweater to wear with leggings!
Peach Love Fair Isle Top ($25?) I absolutely adored this non-ugly Christmas style top! It’s more like a tunic so it skims over all the areas you might want covered up and it will be fun to wear all winter. Also very leggings friendly!
Potters Pot Striped Cardi with Pockets ($40?) What a score! Another cardigan! From Potters Pot! And in colors I love. My most worn items from GT are definitely my cardigans, and my stylist really listened to my notes that I love ponchos, cardigans, wraps, all that. I am always wearing one and no, I don’t always match. I just tell people it’s dress like a kindergartener day (I take a lot of my style inspiration from my 7 year old first grader, who mixes and matches things that don’t every day!).
Renee C Watercolor Print Shift Dress ($35?) This item wasn’t as seasonal as the rest of them, but still pretty, and great to put away until its springtime (I really don’t wear dresses in the winter at all). I loved the colors and the print.
Wow! I think my total value was about $235 and my stylist nailed me on the head. I have to admit, I bought two $149 totes (I’ll write the other up soon) because I was totally in love with the chosen items and expected to send the surprises back on one of them, but I’m going to have a REALLY hard time doing that after they nailed absolutely everything. I might just swap out half my wardrobe instead! At $25 per item including 3 cardis, I am beyond impressed with this tote and the general style of the January Golden Tote selections. I hadn’t picked one up in quite a while but something just told me to go all in, and I’m glad I did!

I have mixed feelings about golden tote. I love what they have in winter time. Unfortunately the summer ones I tend to not like their style.
I got a January tote too but when i selected my items I didn’t see the two that you chose. I would’ve loved to have the mixed print cardigan. Do different people get different options for the tote?
