Taste Guru is a gluten-free subscription box delivering delicious new gluten free products along with chef inspired recipes. Boxes include 7 – 10 great gluten-free items each month, plus little bonus items. We aren’t gluten-free but one of the neighborhood kids is celiac, and we enjoy having options available for her when she visits, so we don’t always actually taste all of the products for our review.

The info card has brief details on every box. The back of the card has a “recipe” but it’s just the preparation instructions for the pasta mix.

All the items in the April Taste Guru box. It was impressive!

Modern Table Meal Kit in Mediterranean Green Lentil Rotini ($6.69) This is a giant meal kit! What a great addition! The rotini are made with green lentils, which means they are protein and fiber packed (20g protein per serving!). I thought this was an amazing find and we kept this one for ourselves!

Namaste Foods Gluten Free Pizza Mix ($14.99) We know a little girl who is just going to be so happy about this. This makes 2 large pizza crusts which is fantastic, is full of great GF herbs and spices, and is also top-8 allergen free! I was already happy with the box at this point!

IMG_2876Zouq Curry Crunch – Sweet and Sour Trail Mix ($1.50) My husband loves the Zouq mixes, even the container they come in. I do too – full of great flavors and textures.

Food for Life Supreme Bio Coffee ($1.25) I have to admit, I don’t get the whole alkaline coffee/foods things, but it’s worth it to give it a try! My husband will drink anything labeled coffee. Who knows, he may find some benefit from it.

The GFB Gluten Free Bar in Dark Chocolate Coconut ($2) This looks so delicious, and with 12g protein. Also also vegan, soy-free, and non-GMO with a delicious flavor and texture.

IMG_2874Matt’s Munchies Organic Mango Açaí ($2.25) I found the wrapper to this in the kids’ work area, so I think we know we know that it was well liked. My kids love mango snacks and this one, if I recall correctly, is cool little squares of snack on the paper.

Tree Hugger Bubblegum ($4) All natural gluten free non-gmo corn-free nut-free, dairy-free, BHT-free gum. We passed this along to our neighbor so she could have a sweet treat!

The April Taste Guru box had a value of around $33, well above the monthly subscription box price, and significantly above the price for a longer term subscription. If you’re celiac or eat gluten-free I totally recommend just going and getting the 1 year subscription, you’ll get the best value. And if you want just an interesting snack and food box this is a good one too. This month had a few less items than usual, but who can complain with getting 3 dinners in it right off the bat? Great month.
