Back from NYC! I’ll be on tonight with subscription box reviews and deals and spoilers and all sorts of stuff (see dining room, above, for all the stuff that needs opened…). But for now, a quick look at our Mommy & Me trip! I had a work engagement in New York and I brought my daughter along to squeeze in some fun around work obligations (she had an overpriced NYC sitter when I was unavailable).

Ellen’s Stardust Diner – I didn’t find the prices bad at all, the food was good, and she asked to go back next time. Win! This is the place where the waitstaff sings. I can imagine if you’ve never lived in a big city that you might find it pricey.IMG_6754

Giant Nutcrackers at UBS building – there were a good 7 or 8 of them. I’m a terrible tourist and take few photos. This was right before Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular. I knew she would like I but we both loved it! I highly highly recommend it. I will be taking her back next year for sure. IMG_6770

We couldn’t make it to the Rockefeller Center tree lighting ceremony, but this tree was just as nice!IMG_6778

Macy’s Windows. I preferred the Lord & Taylor ones. The state of the restrooms in Macy’s was appalling. And I couldn’t get over the veritable gauntlet of perfume ladies (and men) on the ground level. They were lined up on both sides, uniformed in black, it was like passing through a military guard. Not my thing.

“My kid goes to Times Square and all she does is chase pigeons.” Your daughter and I share priorities. That’s what I’d do if I got to go to Time’s Square. Looks like you both had a lovely time! 😀

Pigeon chasing is a damned fine activity. I have about 12 pictures of her doing it. She had the best time and was so well behaved!
