Sadly I missed the first BiteBox (it got delivered to our place before we left and the mail didn’t forward it) but I hear from my next door neighbor it was FANTASTIC! The Pantry Gourmets BiteBox kindly forwarded on September’s box for our review, and what a great box! It’s a brand new gourmet subscription box – you’ll get 4-6 full size items in every box, and in your first monthly subscription, you’ll get this fabulous recipe card box. It’s sooo nice and definitely going on my counter! You may be able to use code forme to save $10 on your first box.

Each box includes full color recipe cards highlighting the ingredients in the box.IMG_5601

The theme for this box was obviously breakfast! YUM!IMG_5599

Nothing better than a gourmet breakfast in the fall.IMG_5600

The interior of the information card has all the details on each product and the producer. IMG_5596

McClure’s Pickles Bloody Mary Mixer ($8)  Sunday brunch? Yes. Just add vodka. I’m ok with that. 🙂 If I had any around I’d have tried it already. This looks rich and delicious.IMG_5593

Callie’s Charleston Biscuits Buttermilk Biscuit Mix ($7) Biscuits for breakfast = win. This set the stage for the rest of the box, which was (IMO) southern tinged, which was great!

The Jam Stand You’re My Boy BLUE-berry Bourbon Jam ($10) who doesn’t love the Jam Stand? NOBODY! Because it’s jam with booze and the jam is the BEST. The flavor was just marvelous and fresh.

Blackberry Patch Pure Maple Syrup ($10) This maple syrup is from Georgia, and I didn’t even know they made maple syrup in Georgia! I thought it had a fantastic caramelized taste to it and I loved it.

Teapigs English Breakfast Tea ($10) My husband says this is a great strong tea. We both loved that it didn’t require special equipment to enjoy.

The Gracious Gourmet Hatch Chile Pesto ($10) Wow, this looks absolutely amazingly delicious and I will so be eating it on a cheese omelette, as suggested (probably with a pile of grits!).

I received about $55 worth of super duper artisan and gourmet products. Usually gourmet food boxes are right around the cost of the products, so this is totally what I expected, and maybe a bit better, plus there are no shipping charges. I love the idea of theme-curated food boxes and unlike some other products, we use all our foodie products up!  Everything was delicious.
