Star Wars Smugglers Bounty November 2015 box

Smuggler’s Bounty is the new Star Wars subscription box from Funko and the only official Star Wars subscription box (in the galaxy). Everything inside is 100% exclusive to the box and designed in collaboration with Funko! Funko also produces the Marvel Collectors Corp Box and will be releasing the DC Comics box in 2016!

This is the first box from this subscription, so I took a lot of photos.

Everything in the box!

Star Wars Smugglers Bounty November 2015 pin badge

The Badge/Patch is a First Order Tie Fighter and the pin shows Kylo Ren. I thought he was going to be a Funko, but I was wrong! The script is Aurebesh.

Star Wars Smugglers Bounty November 2015 lanyard

Funko Star Wars: The Force Awakens Lanyard: This is a fun item, but I would have liked it more if the lanyard itself was sturdier as well as the clip. For a lanyard in this subscription I was expecting something beefier.

Funko POP! Captain Phasma Shirt: This is a great shirt! You can see more variations on the Smuggler’s Bounty November 2015 Spoilers post.

There was actually another box variation – some subscribers received a special forces Tie Fighter Pilot with red stripes.

Star Wars Smugglers Bounty November 2015 captain phasma chrome funko

Chrome Captain Phasma Funko POP!: This is really just an amazing Funko. There are other Captain Phasmas but the chromed finish is exclusive to Smuggler’s Bounty! She is gorgeous.

Great cape.Star Wars Smugglers Bounty November 2015 funko tie fighter

First Order Tie Fighter Funko POP! Figure: This guy seems more pared down – and a lot shinier – than his regular edition companion. I think he is “black chrome” (it’s a Funko finish, I swear!). If you saw the NYCC Tie Fighter Pilot, that was from the earlier films.

I also like his little butt!

For $25 plus shipping this is a pretty fantastic box. I will let the chrome Funkos cover any deficiencies in the rest of the box because they’re totally awesome, but it would have been nice to have one extra small item or a nicer lanyard. I think I’ve been spoiled by Funko’s Marvel Collector Corps a lot! It’s also great to have some swag to wear when watching the new Star Wars movie.  There’s a theme spoiler out for the January 2016 box already – THE RESISTANCE!
