If you’re unfamiliar with Quarterly, they are a box company that sells celebrity-curated boxes. They recently released the GE Inventors Toolbox (no longer available, $32 + shipping = $40). When I posted about it I guess not everyone quite understood that literally hundreds of dollars for rarely discounted tinkering items was a really flipping fantastic deal and they should buy it right then. So forewarned – special edition boxes should always be purchased immediately, lest you lose out! They do, however, offer regular quarterly subscriptions, so you can go check them out to find your favorite curator!
There’s always a letter from the Quarterly curator. It’s rarely a company but this time it was. Usually the value isn’t so high for a lower cost box. This was a special deal for Inventor’s Day.
Quirky Cordies I don’t think I took a photo of this individually, because I’ve received about 4 of them recently.
Inventables $40 Gift Card ($40) This is a unique code. The store is pretty pricey but I am sure I can find a must have tinkering item!
a NameCheap Domain This wasn’t a unique code, so I hope I’m still able to redeem it when I’m ready!
Glovely Winter Touchscreen Gloves ($20) a little big for me but my husband will enjoy these! These are actually really high quality and much better than the cheaptastic ones you see on Groupon.
MaKey MaKey Kit ($49.99) This invention kit takes advantage of anything that conducts electricity and turns it into a computer key. You just plug in the board to your computer, connect your substrate to the clips, and voila, it’s a key (a few simple steps in between). Turn a banana into a key, turn a carrot into a sound, whatever you’d like!
Jiva Coffee Cubes Sample Pack For husband! I’m not a coffee drinker but I can imagine these would be great if you’re tooling and need immediate caffeine. I stick with my Coke Zero.
littleBits cloudBit Starter Kit ($90) This is basically Internet of Things in a box. You can connect your stuff to the internet using some plug and play devices and some tinkering. I’ll probably make a text alert for when the kids pilfer the snack drawer!
In addition, a few boxes contained a golden ticket MakerBot Desktop 3D printer or Wink Relay Touchscreen Controller from Quirky+GE. I did not win one (boo hoo) but fortunately we’re getting 3D printers at work.
