When I opened up the tissue paper, I was really pleased with the range of products: health and beauty products, food, essential oils and sandwich wraps.
I couldn’t wait to try all of these things out!
All of the products come listed on a nice large notecard. Ecocentric Mom’s Mom Box’s October 2016 theme is No Scary Stuff — Delivered!
This Halloween, we’re helping you steer clear of the scary stuff lurking in many of your personal care products. Shampoo in your toothpaste? Detergent on your nether-regions? No thank you! Discover pure and natural alternatives that work great without the “scary.”
I’ve been using Zatik Beauty Essentials’ Dragons Blood Cleansing Gel Gentle Face Rinse ($20) a lot recently. While it seems to clean my face well, it does leave it a little dry, so I’m always sure to follow up immediately with a moisturizer. The scent reminds me a bit of a gin and tonic, which I think is great (could it be that I’m just always thinking about a gin and tonic?)!
I really like the mild mint taste in David’s Premium Natural Toothpaste ($7.95). This fluoride-free, sulfate-free toothpaste left my mouth feeling clean and fresh. I love that it comes in a recyclable tube and that they include a metal key so that you can get every last drop of it out! I plan to continue using this in the future, once this large 5.25 oz tube runs out.
EcoTrek Fitness’s Dark Chocolate Toasted Coconut Whole Food Bar ($2.33 based on the cost of 6) contains an astounding 6 servings of fruits and vegetables!
While I don’t love its taste, I can eat it. For me, this will be a great addition to my pack when I go on long hikes.
I love the subtle sparkles in Honeybee Gardens’ Smoking Gun Eyeliner ($8.99).
Unfortunately, the sparkles didn’t show up very well here. I liked how smoothly and evenly this went on.
I’ve had a severe cold for about a week and a half now, and since I started using Oilogic’s Stuffy Nose Cough ($9.99) essential oils roll on, I haven’t been able to put the stuff down. Breathing really does seem a bit easier with this applied to the back of my neck, chest, and feet.
Healthy Hoo Hoo’s Gentle Feminine Cleanser ($1?) was very mild and left me feeling clean, refreshed and soft. I like that it’s paraben-free. Unlike Summer’s Eve products, this wash is fragrance-free, which I liked.
These Wrap-N-Mats Snack Pouches (on sale for $12) make for nice Ziploc replacements for kids lunches. Once open, they act like a placemat, providing a clean eating surface wherever you go. I like the bright colors and the fact that they’re reusable.
I enjoyed this installment of the Ecocentric Mom box very much! The value was great, and I always enjoy trying out all the different eco-conscious products they find every two months. I wonder what new products they’ll discover two months from now!
