Brick Loot is a monthly subscription box filled with LEGO-compatible items, bricks, and brick building accessories for LEGO fans. Brick Loot box is filled with 4-8 items that were hand picked by Brick specialists who scour the world for the newest and coolest products for you to collect. This box, like the last, is build-heavy, featuring mostly Brick Loot exclusive mini-builds (and some cool other stuff, too).
My 5 year old totally flips out when he sees this box – he knows exactly what it is and demands to review it immediately.
The box is no-nonsense, and packed with mini-builds and building accessories. It is a great subscription for adding bricks, specialty accessories like lighting elements, and themed mini-figs to your collection — it often serves as a sampler pack for trying out products from various third-party LEGO-compatible vendors.
The theme for this one is Ghost Hunters.
All the information is supplied on the card, including information about the different aftermarket companies. The style reminds me more and more of a car enthusiast magazine, with its emphasis on aftermarket lighting, paint, stickers, accessories, parts sourcing, and planning consultants.
Everything in the July 2016 Brick Loot box!
United Bricks Ghost Hunter Custom 100% Lego Minifigure: Yay it’s a little Ghost”hunter”! Obviously very much Ghostbusters inspired!
Ghost Treats Machine by Bricklover18: Usually there is a non-Lego bricks build and a Lego bricks exclusive build, but this month there were 2 Lego builds, which was cool. This was a little gumball machine!
Barrel-O-Slime ($5.99) And a barrel of slime – perfect to play the part of a ghost!
We’re ready for ghost hunting…
Just as soon as we add some candy to lure them in! We added some non-pareils from the kitchen to replicate gumballs.
Brick Loot Exclusive Art Print by Drew Blank: I think this was a first – an art print. I actually like this a lot better than a sticker (which is in the upper right) because it doesn’t stick. I think it’s a bit more versatile.
Plus Plus Bonus Pack: This is a fun bonus and you can see how they work below. My kids love them and these got immediately added to our collection!
Ghost Trap Light by Liteup Blocks: See it below! They don’t promise it but there’s been one of these awesome things in every box I have ever bought!
PKE Meter Exclusive Build by Kyle Peterson: Every Ghost Hunter needs an Psychokinetic energy meter!
All Plus Plus are one shape, and there are 2 sizes. These are the mini which my kids like best.
A simple and perfect ghost trap! This one stays lit, which is cool.
The instructions are clear and easy to follow – and have definitely improved in the past 6 months.
Our finished PKE meter! My five year old decided it would be perfect to add to his Funko/Titans Ghostbusters collection!
I loved having 2 Lego builds in this box but this month felt a bit light, it was missing something for sure – another build, minifig, etc! It’s a really fun subscription for my son (and me!) and I am hoping next month puts the bricks back in Brick Loot.
