Bocandy is a monthly subscription box that sends candy from around the world. International candy can be hard to find and is expensive too but Bocandy buys in bulk and then sends it out for our enjoyment. They have two different options, either International or the new Asian box. The International box is $15 a month and the Asian box is $21 a month, with discounts for longer plans. Shipping is free to the US, its territories, its military bases, and Puerto Rico; all others will pay shipping.

I received the International box. The box was sturdy and all of the items arrived in perfect condition!

All of the items in the box! Bocandy states that you will receive 6-9 candies a month and I received 6 items for May (I counted the lollipops as 1 candy). There were no inserts inside and Bocandy doesn’t offer the items for individual sale so please know that I tried my best to find these items using Google. There is a Bocandy blog that lists the items that could be in the box and they mentioned that there were 3 different box variations sent out this month.

Fujiya Fruit Flavored Lollipops (Japan)  I received two lollipops in orange and green apple flavors. The mascot of Fujiya is a little girl called Peko Chan and she is very famous in Japan. You can even find life-sized Peko Chan dolls over there!

Bulgarian Salty Sticks (Bulgaria) have a cute little panda on the package and a background that looks like bamboo but it is actually the pretzel-like salty sticks. These have a very subtle taste variation from the pretzels in America, more like a cracker I guess?

Medovina Honey Linzer Cake (Bulgaria) looks like a moon pie but the website describes it as having vanilla, cinnamon, and cocoa flavors. It was moist and tasty!

Korsarz Coconut Dragrees (Poland) are little balls of a coconut flavored creamy center that are covered in chocolate.

Olza Prince Polo XXL Hazelnut Milk Chocolate Bar  (Poland) was my favorite of the bunch! This was basically Nutella spread between wafers and then covered in chocolate. Yum!

Dobrogea Eugenia Junior Milk and Honey Cookies (Romania) were very delicious! It is a sandwich cookie with a sweet, creamy, honey flavored center. This is similar to a vanilla sandwich cookie (or Vanilla Oreo) but with a touch of honey in the filling.

There was also a little Bocandy sticker in the box. Cute!

Here is the Price Polo bar up close. So good!

I really enjoyed my first Bocandy box! As promised, these items were hard to find for sale, even on Amazon. In some cases I found similar items but with different flavors. The fun factor is definitely there as my younger daughter loved trying items from countries we know absolutely nothing about (hey, this is a geography lesson waiting to happen!). Not all of the items were candy though; some were cookies, cakes, and even pretzels. Still, to me this was more about the opportunity to try items I just can’t get here in the States.
