Snack Fever is a monthly subscription box that delivers all-your favorite Korean snacks, as well as other hard-to-find Korean treats. Each month, subscribers will get 5 to 12 Korean snacks and treats, depending on their subscription. Snack Fever is available in three boxes, the mini box, the original box, and the deluxe box, and the subscription is $12, $20, and $40, respectively, every month.
This information card breaks down the content of each box every month. The Original box has everything in the Mini box and more. The deluxe ($40 per month) has different items – and Summer will be taking a look at that one! If you’ve read our Japan Crate reviews you’ll remember that we can show you what comes in each box in one review because there are different levels and they just add on. That’s not true of this box, so we need 2 people to eat all the yummy food.
The box is fully stacked from top to bottom. I actually messaged Summer that we must have both received the Deluxe box and that I messed up the order. Nope! This is the original $20 per month box!
All the items in our Snack Fever Deluxe Box this April. Usually Tom does the food reviews because he’s so good at it, but it turns out that I personally ate everything before it got to him. So…
Mini and Original/Deluxe Boxes
Lotte Rich Milk Caramel: Yummy caramels that taste a lot like Kraft, but a little firmer and smaller, with more of a milky taste.
Chrysanthemum Hub Tea: A calming pre-bedtime tea. I don’t drink tea so I’ll slip this into the next package I send to Summer! I liked that it came in pretty sachets.
Choco Tin Tin: These are tasty and sugary crispy cookies with chocolate on the bottom! There was a nice big box!
I’m not sure if the Mini box only has a few packets, which is probable. If you’re a subscriber let us know!
Chestnut Monaca: Chestnut paste between wafers. Like a Korean Uncrustable. I wasn’t a fan of the flavor, so I sent these to Tom.
Chicken Macho Spicy Bulgogi: These are so tasty, addictive, and spicy! The flavor is chicken bulgogi and I want more!
Sand Ace Lemon Cream: These are lemon cream sandwich cookies (and square!) and very tasty!
The rest of the items are only in the Original/Deluxe box, not the mini.
Moncher Cacao: This is a chocolate coated choco-pie, and so much tastier than the US versions! It was soft and fresh with a dark chocolate taste and oh so yummy!
Sac Sac Orange Drink: This is an orange drink with juice pulp.
Nongshim Kimchi Ramyun: Oh yum! My memory of Summer teaching me the Korean pronunciation of ramen (because I’m totally American and didn’t know there was any difference – but I was about 10 years old!) is burned into my memory. I’m excited to try this, I love kimchi (but note, it took me into adulthood to actually try it, despite having total availability from her mom during my entire childhood!). These have good reviews on Amazon!
Natural Story Churroz Sweet Honey Cinnamon: Oh man, it only took me a couple days to get through this bag (note, they’re actually best when you first open the bag, so don’t be like greedy like me and actually share). They are branded as authentic Spanish snacks.
These were AMAZING. Crisp, crunchy, and SUPER sugary! What a delight. I loved their suggestions to eat them with ice cream, but these went into my secret desk stash and I happily crunched my way through all of them.
I think you can already tell that I loved this box! Last month’s Premium box had too many fishy things for my personal tastes (as Summer reminds me: Korea is a peninsula… lots of fish and fishy snacks) but this box was a real win for me personally – lots of unique snacks that I’ve never eaten before, and I loved all of them!
