Birchbox has been acquired recently by Retention Brands, the same company who acquired Alltrue, and the brand will soon resume sending boxes this June! The style quiz for customization is still inactive until Birchbox’s re-launch OR until they get caught up with unshipped boxes!

To our Birchbox Members,

We hope this email finds you well. First and foremost, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for your patience and understanding during the past six months. We know that the uncertainty and disruptions may have caused some inconvenience, and we truly appreciate your loyalty and support during this time.

We are delighted to share Retention Brands has recently completed the acquisition of the assets of Birchbox and will be relaunching the business over the coming week! Rest assured we are fully committed to carrying on the exceptional legacy that has made Birchbox such a beloved brand.

As long-time admirers of Birchbox, we are well aware of the passion and dedication that has gone into creating and curating these exceptional boxes. We firmly believe in the power of our products to bring joy, inspiration, and a sense of discovery to our customers, and are eager to continue builds on the foundation.

We are excited to announce that we will be relaunching Birchbox in the coming weeks, with an expanded range of options allowing you to customize your monthly box. While we will be making some improvements, rest assured that the core values and mission of Birchbox will remain unchanged. Our commitment to delivering the highest quality products, personalized customer service, and an unforgettable unboxing experience is unwavering.

What’s next?

  • Unshipped Orders – We will begin shipping any orders placed prior to the operational pause last year in the next week, with the goal of shipping out all open orders by early June. We’ll be sharing updates via email, on your account page, and on our Instagram page.
  • We are reactivating the website and account pages this week.
  • We will be relaunching the monthly boxes in June, and will send you an email this week with your renewal date.
  • After we’ve caught up on unshipped orders, we will shift our focus to the future – creating a fantastic customization experience for the June Box (and beyond).

    I only received 3 boxes of my 6 month subscription. It took 3 weeks to get a response to email.

    Oh wow. Birchbox was great under its original leadership. The company that bought Causebox and changed its name to Alltrue created a massive revolt by charging canceled subscriptions, not delivering boxes, not replying to communications, etc. Sad to learn Birchbox is now owned by the same company.

      This doesn’t sound good.

      Causebox went to Alltrue and the quality of the box just went down the drain. I have no hopes that the ‘new’ Birchbox will be any different.
