Ipsy Glam Bag for March 2023 was themed Step Into Your Power in honor of Women’s History Month and came with makeup, skin care, and even a nail polish! Keep on reading to learn more about what we received this month!

Note: Ipsy sends many variations, so the bag I’m reviewing may not match everyone else’s.

Ipsy Glam Bag The bag for March has a raised geometric pattern all over and is silver in color. The zipper is gold-toned and the pull is shaped like a medallion or coin — it has a side view of an ancient Grecian woman on one side, and the reverse reads “IPSY”. The inside of the bag is lined with royal blue nylon fabric.

Most items were in a box or bubble wrap.

Benefit Cosmetics Tight N’ Toned Pore Refining AHA + PHA Toning Foam ($5.62) This is an interesting product — it’s a foamy toner that is supposed to help the pores look smaller and possibly leave skin softer over time. It has gluconolactone to help dissolve dead skin cells gently, glycolic acid for a similar benefit, and glycerin to help draw moisture to the skin. It also has lemon and yuzu juices. The product is a foamy mousse that left behind a slightly sticky texture until it was completely dry and despite the juices it didn’t smell like much, which is a good thing in my opinion. Pore size isn’t something I worry about these days but I bet my daughter will enjoy using this.

Beautaniq Beauty Caffeine Eye Cream ($18 listed value, my choice item) I was able to choose one product for my box (from a small selection of items) and I went for this eye cream, since it was fragrance-free and I can always use eye cream. It has caffeine and hyaluronic acid to reduce puffiness while also drawing moisture to the area. The white cream has no noticeable scent and was absorbed immediately with no greasy feeling afterwards.

Trust Fund Beauty Nail Lacquer in Got Yacht? ($8) I received this nail polish from a brand I like, although the color isn’t something I would pick for myself. I tend to like light colors on my hands and bright pinks or reds on my toes. However, this is a spirit color for the school I work at so maybe I can wear it on game days next football season? It’s “21-free” which means they don’t use some of the ingredients that are considered harmful to our health.

Estate Cosmetics Babygirl Eyeshadow Duo in Babygirl & Miss Me ($30 for the full-size palette, around $2 value) This duo is from a 9-pan palette in “sweetheart” shades of pink and warm neutrals. I started by applying the champagne shimmer Babygirl on my lid, then topped with the matte pink Miss Me above, in, and under my crease. I needed a darker color for my crease so I used something already in my collection. I thought it applied well and lasted all day and I was pleased with this mighty duo.

Mischo Beauty Blush in Ijama ($41 for full-size palette, around $5.85 value) This blush is one shade from a 4-pan palette that I wouldn’t mind having, it looks like a nice assortment of colors. I thought it was very similar to the pinkish eye shadow shade shown above. It was easy to apply and to blend and gave my cheeks a natural flush, but it was buildable for more pop if you like.

Swatched on top is the Mischo blush followed by the Estate eyeshadow duo!

I was pretty happy with my March Ipsy Glam Bag products! I was able to pick the eye cream and it felt good on my skin and didn’t have any scent, always a good sign since I have sensitive skin. I also liked the makeup items, and the blush paired well with the eyeshadow duo. I don’t think the pore toner is right for my skin type, and while I wouldn’t normally choose a navy nail polish, it does look kind of fun. Even the bag itself had an interesting texture. I’m excited to see what happens with the next bag with all of the changes happening around Ipsy and BoxyCharm!
