EltaMd Skin Recovery Amino Acid Foaming Cleanser ($35) I appreciated seeing a product that was fragrance-free and meant for sensitive skin in this box, and it happens to be a foaming cleanser. I prefer a creamy cleanser for myself but this one was pretty good and didn’t leave my skin feeling dry or tight. It’s gentle enough even for those who have had recent procedures on their skin, and it’s supposed to strengthen the skin’s barrier in seven days. It has amino acids, glycerin, and calming plant extracts listed in the ingredients. It helps remove makeup, sunscreen, and other pollutants from skin and rinses away without leaving a film on skin. Win!

PCA Ideal Complex Revitalizing Eye Gel ($104) According to PCA Skin, this product can be applied twice a day after cleansing and it can be applied directly to the lids too, and preps the area for makeup. It’s a non-scented gel that felt good as I applied it, it’s rather silky in texture without feeling greasy. The gel is supposed to reduce dark circles and puffiness while firming and lifting that sensitive area. Some of the ingredients are dimethicone, glycerine, niacinamide, and peptides. Another win for me!
RoC Hydration+ Serum ($32.99) Hyaluronic acid is a popular ingredient in skin care and is used to attract and keep moisture in the skin. This product has seven forms of that ingredient and is supposed to plump up the skin and help it look smooth. It can be applied day and night after cleansing and is fragrance-free. It feels lightweight and my skin absorbed it quickly and there was no stickiness left behind. I look forward to adding it to my skincare routine! Yet another winner for me and my sensitive skin!
Bright Girl Day+Bright 24-Hour Facial Moisturizer ($26) Bright Girl is a brand made especially for tween and teen girls, but the Dermy Doc recommends it for everyone. This moisturizer was non-greasy and can be applied morning and night after cleansing. Some of the ingredients include glycerin, hyaluronic acid, chamomile extract, sunflower seed oil, and shea butter. I would like it more if it didn’t have added fragrance, which gives it a powdery floral scent, but I also think my skin type needs more moisture, although it felt good going on.
Peter Thomas Roth Therapeutic Sulfur Mask ($52) This product is a treatment mask meant to fight acne and that isn’t a concern for me at my age so I didn’t try this out (I used all of the other products in this box though!). It has classic oil-busting ingredients such as kaolin and bentonite clays, plus talc, glycerin, and aloe. It also has 10% sulfur, which is supposed to be good for skin woes including rosacea, although the added fragrance in this product is something those of us with that condition tend to avoid. There is a note in the pamphlet that says to use this to fight sebaceous filaments or just to sop up extra oil on the face.

Bioré UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF 50+ ($13.99) I wear sunscreen on my face every day, so I was excited to see this product (and am looking forward to next season’s box, which has traditionally contained all kinds of sunscreens!). I had to wrack my brain figuring out where I had heard of Biore before but then it hit me – I used to wear their pore strips! This product is a chemical sunscreen (it absorbs the sun’s rays) with a non-greasy texture that isn’t supposed to leave a white cast on skin. It also has hyaluronic acid for attracting moisture to the face. This is a daily type of sunscreen and can be worn under makeup, but if you are going to be swimming or sweating, choose a waterproof sunscreen instead. My only complaint is that this product has a strong lemon scent thanks to added perfume, but it did make for a nice base and again, with no white cast to my skin.
Overall, I found the Spring 2025 Dermy Doc Box a bit of a hit or miss, but that’s because the box is meant to appeal to a range of skin types and I realize that every product won’t be perfect for my skin (what subscription box bats 100% anyways?). Three of these products can be added to my daily routine: Elta MD cleanser, ROC hydration serum, and PCA eye gel. These are products that are fragrance-free and work well for my dry, sensitive skin. The other three products are meant for those with acne (Peter Thomas Roth mask) or just have too much scent for my liking (Bright Girl moisturizer and Biore UV moisturizer). If either of those last two products had been fragrance-free then I would have been practically ecstatic about this box, but I have friends who will be happy to add them to their skincare collections. The value for this box was around $264!
