Birchbox has updated their subscription with more customizable options – you can now pick your customization period and get to choose up to 5 items during your selection period! Must pick your customization period by today, 6/20, and new customization period will begin with your July box. If you don’t pick a Box Customization period, Birchbox will lock one in for you. Your billing date will be updated to the beginning of your new Box Customization period, and you’ll get an email to confirm your new Box Customization and billing dates. NOTE: If you don’t select anything, you’ll still get a curated box based on your personal beauty profile.

Do I have to choose a new Box Customization period?
Nope, not if you don’t want to. If you do not choose a new Box Customization period, we will auto-assign one for you. If you would like to change your Box Customization period at a later date, we encourage you to reach out to our customer experience team at [email protected]
What if I forget to pick my new dates by 6/20?

Why will my billing date change?
We are changing our billing and shipping process in order to bring you a more flexible Birchbox experience – one that is built for your current and evolving beauty needs. Previously, boxes have shipped at the same time every month. Now, you don’t have to wait – you can ship your box as soon as you’ve selected or customized it. Your new billing date will match the live date for your new Box Customization Period.
When can I customize my box?
You can customize your box as soon as your Box Customization period opens on your billing date. You will have a window of 7 days to customize your box before it ships. Your June box is already on its way or has been delivered, so your new Box Customization period will open in July. We will send you an email confirming the dates for your new Box Customization period. If you don’t participate in your Box Customization period, a box will be curated for you and will automatically ship at the end of your Box Customization period.
When will my box ship?
The sooner you choose after your Box Customization period opens, the sooner it ships. If you do nothing, it will automatically ship seven days after your billing date.
Birchbox is a beauty sampling subscription service that sends 5 new items each month so you can try before you buy. Birchbox is $15 a month and you can choose a monthly sample during selection time, let Birchbox decide, or pick a pre-curated box.
