Ipsy has announced a price increase for Glam Bag and Glam Bag Plus, starting on 10/1/21. Read on for the details, including how to lock in current prices for a year:
Ipsy Glam Bag
- Increasing to $13 (from $12). Canada prices also $13 (shipping $2.95)
- Switch to an annual plan ($132) by 9/31 and lock in the $11/bag price for a year.
- Existing annual plans will lock in the current prices if the plan renews before the end of the year.
Ipsy Glam Bag Plus
- Increasing to $28 (from $25)
- Switch to an annual plan ($275 – $25 off the price of $300) by 9/31 and lock in a $22.90/bag price for a year.
- Existing annual plans will lock in the $275 cost if the plan renews before the end of the year.
Price increases are effective on 10/1/21.
What about Glam Bag X? The price stays the same at $55/bag.

I’m just a little annoyed that they didn’t give any actual reason for increasing the price. Will my items be higher quality? Will I be getting more value? All valid questions when raising prices, even if it’s only a dollar. When I initially signed up it was $10 a bag. I’ll continue receiving the bags but I’m not sure I’m really getting more value than I did back then.
It says it’s effective 10/1…but I was charged for the increase 9/3…
It’s not too much but thought it was weird it went into effective a month early.
I only get these roughly quarterly, so I suppose not a big deal. At least they’re raising it fairly gradually
I haven’t been an Ipsy subscriber for over a year. Initially, I thought I would take a break and resubscribe when I missed it, but I found I never missed it. Between SeeNew and an occasional order on Ulta, I have more than enough stuff.
I will probably just stick with the Plus bag. Can’t argue the value but nobody likes price hikes lol.
