BE KIND by Ellen is a quarterly subscription box created by Ellen Degeneres to help people spread kindness! Each box costs $54.99 and contains fun, unique, and amazing products that Ellen picks herself that she wanted to share. It also focuses on brands and products that do social good.

NOTE: We have received multiple customer complaints about their experiences with this subscription, including double-charges, not receiving a box, and inability to cancel.

The items are neatly packed in the box!

Every item sits in its own cardboard slot so all the items came secured.

The box is full to the brim. There are partitions and once the top items are removed, it reveals more!

The box also came with a tri-fold booklet with high-quality photos.

At the back, you will find more details about the box. Glad to know that the box is 100% recyclable!

There’s also a note from Ellen herself.

The booklet lists each item in the box, along with a brief description.

There’s also an illustration of people from different races coming together and I love it because I think it sends a strong message!

The list also has photos of each featured item in the box.

Below the item description, they also listed the retail value and the brand’s website.

Everything in my Fall 2020 box!

Be Kind Contactless Door Key Keychain (listed value $30). If you don’t already have one, this hygiene key is a great tool to have in handy, so you can avoid touching surfaces in public places like doors, elevator buttons, and many more.

It came nicely packed and the back of the packaging even has an infographic on how to use the product.

It comes with a key ring so you can attach it to your keys, pouch, or bag. Another unique feature is the stylus tip, which can be used for screens and digital devices.

Stojo Silicone cup – 16 oz ($20) This collapsible cup makes a nice alternative to single-use cups. Since it folds into a compact piece when not in use, it’s also easy to bring anywhere.

It came in its own box packaging and there is an illustration on how to use the cup.

It’s made out of food-grade silicone and can handle both hot and cold products. It’s also BPA-free and lead-free!

It’s also leak-proof so you don’t have to worry about spillage.

The lid has a built-in lid cover that you can easily slide to open and close.

The cup also came with a 20% off coupon code which you can use for purchases on their website.

They even included a reusable straw, which is also made of food-grade silicone.

Not only is this product eco-friendly since it is reusable, but it’s also super convenient. Unlike other tumblers, once you’re done with your drink, simply tuck this in as it folds up to half of its size and store it in your bag! You don’t have to carry a big empty tumbler anymore!

BYCHARI Hope Necklace ($100) It’s a dainty necklace which came nicely tucked in a cardstock packaging protected by a plastic pouch.

The gold plated necklace’s design is by BYCHARI and Be Kind box.

It spells out the word “HOPE”, evenly spaced in the middle of the piece. It’s really pretty and it’s an effortless piece you can wear on a daily basis.

Wander Beauty Baggage Claim Eyemasks ($25) For a pampering session, here’s a set of eye masks that came in their own box packaging.

They’re individually packed per pair to make sure that the masks are always fresh once you use them. I like these because they’re refreshing to the eyes and I feel like they do a good job of firming up the skin to help diminish fine lines and wrinkles. They’re also very moisturizing.

BE KIND. Wireless Earbuds ($39.99) These wireless earbuds are exclusive to Be Kind!

This item is made in China. According to the label, charging time takes 40 minutes and talking time is between 2 to 3 hours.

Here’s everything inside! The earbuds came in a charging case that says “Be Kind & Listen”. There’s also a charging cable.

They look similar to Apple AirPods but these are in black.

Unfortunately these stopped working after a day of use!

Let’s Make Art Painting Kit (listed value $59). It’s an art painting kit and, according to the label, we have everything we need in here to finish four projects.

There are 4 paint colors, a paintbrush, a mixing palette, and other stuff inside!

There’s even an information guide where we are given a link on where we can find the video tutorials for the projects!

The designs are nice and they’re fairly easy to make!

This quarter’s curation has some useful and fun items! There are must-have items for people who are always on-the-go, like the contactless key and the collapsible cup. There are also eye masks for some pampering, plus an art kit to keep you creative. The earbuds didn’t work out (there would be no way to complain, they haven’t responded to serious customer concerns), and several of the items had listed values that far exceeded what I thought was reasonable –  you can get 2 similar keys for $6.99 on Amazon. The billing issues for this subscription are also out of control. BE KIND isn’t being kind to their subscribers with all these mistakes and failure to respond.

The first year I only received 3 boxes. Year two I was automatically charged for 2 subscriptions. There is no customer service to speak of . Just a email address that didn’t respond to the double billing. Also I was charged twice so you would think I’d get 2 boxes.

No directions on how to connect the Be Kind Wireless Ear buds. Please help?

Just charge them. Also make sure you connect them via Bluetooth on your device. If you charge them long enough, you will also charge the case which then becomes its own charger for the earbuds. I found all of this out through trial and error. They really are very good devices, especially if your device does not have a plug in option.

I let them charge over night. My phone says connected but I can not hear anything through the AirPods

Still waiting on my FALL box. I have to say customer service is awful!. You pay for it, you don’t get it and there is no one that cares to help
