Japan Crate aims to send candy that is fun and exclusively available in Japan.

DEAL: Save $3 on your first regular or premium crate with coupon code HELLO.

There are 3 different subscription levels available: The Mini includes 5 items, the Original includes those items PLUS another 5 items, and the Premium includes those 10 items PLUS another 5 items. This month I am reviewing the Premium box!

This month’s theme is My Hero Academia Collab!

There is always a Manga-zine that lists the contents of the box, as well as some fun food and cultural info about Japan. This month’s magazine is most likely everything about My Hero Academia!

The chart of contents lists the snacks for all three box sizes. The tiers are cumulative, so our Premium Box has everything on the page!

This page features some of the writer’s favorite character in My Hero Academia and the reason for wanting them.

Get ready for My Hero Academia first big screen movie this 2018!

There’s an ad for Funimation, where you can stream all the latest episodes of your favorite anime anytime, anywhere.

The box interior is so cute. It features My Hero Academia Class 1-A students with All Might!

Everything in my June 2018 box!

Awa Ramune Power Energy. It’s an energy-boosting hard candy from Japan infused with delicious ramune flavor. Each piece produces tingly bubbles when put inside your mouth!

Roll Cake Butter Cream Flavor. Perfect as a snack, this super soft decadent cake is filled with creamy filling inside. It also goes well with hot beverages.

Pro Baseball Chips. This pack of potato chips is crispy and tasty, plus it includes collectible professional baseball themed cards. We got 2 cards, one featuring Eigoro Mogi of Rakuten Eagles and Randy Messenger of Hanshin Tigers!

Cheese Umaibo Rings. This super cheesy corn snack tastes a little like the cheese powder from mac and cheese but with a creamy, milky flavor. It’s like the Japanese version of Cheetos with a crispy and light texture.

Choco Daifuku. Usually paired with chocolate or tea, this soft and squishy marshmallow ball is filled with delightfully sweet milk chocolate.

Gaburi Chew DIY Kit. Included in this DIY candy box are four chewable candies, six different molds, and a food stand. Simply put the chewy candy to the mold and let your kids create a variety of delicious chewy snacks like hamburger, ramen, pizza, curry, okonomiyaki, and hotdog.

Korokoro Sugar Rusk. Sweet rusk cubes are made by double frying baguettes and coating them with sugar and butter. It’s a very scrumptious snack with a crispy nutty texture and a sugary sweet taste. They’re like sugar croutons and I ate them all!

123 Gum Cola. It’s a tasty and juicy chewing gum packed with cola flavor. Well, the idea is quite old but I really appreciate the superhero packaging, I find it a little cute.

Sapporo Potato Veggie Sticks. These are crunchy potato sticks infused with nine different vegetables like spinach, carrot, onion, tomato, pumpkin, molokhia, red bell pepper, red beet, and parsley. Definitely a great veggie snack!

Teriyaki Burger Umaibo. Umaibo is one of the most famous and loved snacks in Japan. It is a crunchy corn puff stick with a variety of delicious and mouthwatering flavor. This month’s umaibo has the flavors of a real teriyaki burger. It is so tasty. The flavoring is perfect, it’s just like eating a crunchier version of the burger.

Lifeguard Energy Drink and Gum. With its very cool and eye-catching packaging, this gum and soda is definitely the treat to beat in this box. The soda contains 7 vitamins and 7 amino acids, plus royal jelly with a super sweet and refreshing taste while the other is a soft chewy candy that will pick you up and make your candy taste buds really happy!

Puku Puku Taiyaki. The fish-shaped snack consists of monaka wafer on the outside and air-bubble chocolate on the inside. The chocolate is like a fluffy mousse with a delicious chocolate flavor. Crunchy outside with creamy soft filling inside. So yummy!

Calbee Jagariko Smoked Cheese Flavored Sticks. This limited edition potato sticks from Calbee have a smoked cheese flavor. They’re a little odd, like eating pasta. To prepare a meal out of them just pour hot water inside the cup, wait for 5 minutes and you’ll get a very satisfying meal in an instant. I think I should have gone for the mashed potatoes.

Exclusive My Hero Academia Button. It’s a bonus item from Japan Crate! The exclusive button pin features Izuku Midoriya with a hero name of Deku. He’s the main protagonist of the anime My Hero Academia.

This month’s Japan Crate snacks are so fun! As always, they provide a nice variety of savory snacks, chocolates, and candies. My kids and I love all the snacks we got but the one that really captured our attention is the Lifeguard Energy Drink and Gum not only because of its looks and packaging but also the taste.  If you have a family like us who loves receiving treats with exceptional flavors then this subscription is the perfect one for you!
