Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription. Get five makeup, beauty, skincare, and hair care items in a cute bag for $10 a month! It’s the most popular subscription box and a great way to sample new colors and beauty brands.

This month’s box came with a neon mesh bag.

They also included a simple activity that encourages everyone to reach their goals.

On the other side of the card is a short inspirational message from Ipsy. You can take a photo of what you wrote as a goal and post it on social media, make sure to use #ipsygameface.

This is the January Glam Bag. I love the color and the mint green accent on the zipper!

Everything in my January bag.

There are many bag variations every month for Ipsy – login to your account to check out how-to videos and tips for your products. They’ve also started emailing out product information and tips from their influencers!

City Color Cosmetics Contour Palette ($3.65) First item is an all in one contour, bronzer and highlighter palette that can be used for all skin types. It’s in pressed powder form, ideal for light application.

In case you are a beginner and you are not sure which is which, you can find the label of each product at the back of the palette.

City Colors palette is pretty low quality (think cheap drugstore). I’m never impressed with their items and this is no different. I think it’s only good for experimenting with color or a new type of beauty product. At least it’s cruelty free!

Nyx Professional Makeup Lip Lingerie in Beauty Mark ($7) This lip lingerie is SO odd. It’s a 90s plummy brown and is very slick going on, and dries to a dry sticky matte. The whole collection has 24 nude shades, and received it in the shade Lipli 05 – Beauty Mark.

I actually ended up liking this formula a lot, not sure about the color…!

Befine Skin Care Exfoliating Cleanser ($10) With ingredients like almond, brown sugar and oats, this facial cleanser is great for removing impurities from the skin while keeping it hydrated. It exfoliates gently, and it smells great too.

Mudmasky Sleep Repair Mask ($21) This sleeping mask is a lightweight gel that you can leave on your face between 5-10 hours so your skin will feel smooth and refreshed in the morning. It’s quick absorbing so there’s no need to worry even when you toss and turn while you sleep. It’s infused with rosewater and contains no parabens and sulfates! The full size is $84 for 2 ounces. I liked it but there’s nothing in this mask to justify that price tag.

Bellapierre Cosmetics StayPUT Brow Gel In Cardamom ($25) The brow gel was a surprise because the results are perfect for my skin and brow tone, and it was super easy to apply. Win! I will probably use the entire thing! It’s waterproof with a gel like consistency.

Here are the swatches! I feel like this is from an entirely different decade than ours.

Although I wasn’t very impressed with the contour palette and I didn’t like the shade of the liquid lipstick, I’ll say that this month’s box is still a good curation overall and have to note that this is the bag that isn’t personalized for me. The total value was about $67 which is super high – but also reflects some price inflation. Even getting out of this with a nice mask, a perfect full size brow gel, and a great scrub for $10 – I’m more than happy!

Oh I love the bag this month which makes me happy that I didn’t skip and somehow updated my cc so I’m getting it. Should be here soon. Guess I can peak and what was included or just wait for the surprise.
