Animal Jam Box Review – Winter 2016-2017

Hello Subscription may earn compensation via links in this post. Read the full disclosure

Animal Jam Box is a new subscription box for Animal Jam fans that brings an assortment of curated products like clothing, electronics, toys, accessories, stationery and a lot more! It’s $25.00 per quarter with over $60 worth of Animal Jam merchandise!

The outside of the box looks so fun! It actually looks like there’s an animal in the box. Hope they fix that misspelling for the next one, though.

My kids love playing Animal Jam! They’ve played it for about a year on and off. It’s put on by National Geographic, really well done. My daughter is also in love with the Nat Geo Kids mag.

The information card gives you a list of all the goodies this quarter!

All the animal cuteness this Winter 2016!

I thought this gift card sleeve was the cutest one I’ve ever seen!

Jammer Card With In-Game Code

My children got extremely excited about filling in their names on the card (they agreed to share).

You redeem the code in-game for a pair of Snow Leopard Slippers!

And ta-da! They match your pair of Snow Leopard Slippers you just received in the box!

These are cute and I’m going to be honest, my daughter has barely removed them since she received them!

I admit being a little lost on the sizing of this box – the kids shirt sizes start at 7/8, so kids sizing is M/L/XL and then adult S-L, and for shoes, this is what’s available. My daughter is 8 and this size small slipper fit her well, but little kids would be disappointed with the sizing.  Perhaps the age of Animal Jam is higher than what I would consider it to be?

The slipper bottoms have nice little grippy nubs.

They’re so cute, fuzzy, and warm!

Animal Jam Activity Book

This book contains stickers, coloring pages, and activity pages.

It’s quite frankly a huge hit and my daughter has been coloring up a storm!

The inside has a cool poster with all your favorite Animal Jam pals!

She was wandering around the house with the slippers and activity book so I made her stop to take a quick picture!

Charm Bracelet With Arctic Wolf Charm

This is cute, but girly.

If your kid isn’t into a charm bracelet, you can use the lobster clasp of the charm to attach it to whatever you’d like (like a bag charm)!

My daughter was a fan and hopes that more charms are coming!

Penguin Neck Warmer

This “neck warmer” is basically a hat! It’s cute and I love the little penguin feathers at the top!

Penguin Scarf

The scarf has a pull-through to keep everything on straight.

It’s adorable!

The only issue I had is that this hat is adult-sized!

For $25 plus shipping I thought it was a fun fantastic deal for Animal Jam fans and would make an excellent birthday gift! Animal Jam merchandise isn’t cheap and looking at this site I would say picking up this box is an amazing deal if you’re looking for Animal Jam goodies.

I felt that there was something crucial I missed about Animal Jam, and I think that its appeal is much broader than I’d imagined, with older teens and even adults playing the game. Still, I would have liked even more sizing options, since I know even teeny tiny kids would want some rad snow leopard slippers and the neck warmer was really on the gigantic side.  I’m not quite sure how many seasons a subscription might last though – perhaps a box or two?

What did you think about Animal Jam Box? P.S. my kids insist on me wishing you Happy Jamaalidays!
