We Love Single Women

At SinglesSwag, we do not subscribe to any societal or cultural expectations on women. We believe a woman’s happiness is determined by her outlook and attitude, not by her relationship status. My October SinglesSwag box!

20161018_014311

The information card contains a brief description of each item and its’ value. The October theme is “single [sin°gle] (adjective) ~ too fabulous to settle“. I love the fun themes SinglesSwag comes up with each month. They remind you that it’s OK to be single and, sometimes, you’re better off.  ?

Banded Braided Infinity Scarf – Antique Green ($25.00):  This is a soft cotton infinity scarf with a literal twist. Instead of being one piece of fabric, this is made with multiple braided pieces. I struggle with scarves (I feel like my neck is too short), so something like this makes accessorizing easy. However, I don’t think I’m quite hip enough to pull it off.

This is how it’s shown on Banded’s website.

Wine2Go Foldable Wine Bottle ($13.00):  This collapsible or foldable bottle is BPA free and perfect for those occasions when you can’t or don’t want to carry a glass bottle. It can hold a standard sized bottle of wine or the equivalent in your beverage of choice.

NCLA Mani E.R. ($16.00):  If you’re like me, a hangnail or *gasp* broken nail is one of the most annoying things to have. Keep this travel sized kit with you to take care of nail problems for a (somewhat) polished look when troubles arise. The kit contains nail clippers, a file, V-shaped push stick, rounded push stick, and beauty scissors.

Soap & Paper Factory Mission Grove Body Wash – Peppermint & Sea Salt ($10.00):  I love peppermint body washes when I have achy muscles or am feeling worn down. The cooling sensation helps to soothe away the fatigue and reinvigorate me. This wash contains peppermint, citrus, and menthol aromas and is free of harsh chemicals and sulfates. I might finish off this travel sized bottle in the next couple of days. LOL

NCLA Nail Lacquer – Chaka ($16.00):  A fab and funky eye-catching blue is for personality to the max. This is a cerulean blue and lots of fun. I would wear this more during the summer, but the darker undertones will work in fall months. BTW, am I the only one singing “I Feel for You” by Chaka Khan now?

The polish is opaque, and you could get away with one coat. My ring finger and pinkie have one coat, while my index and middle fingers have two coats.

Lark Fine Foods – Coconut Butter Cookies ($6.00):  First of all, let me start by saying that I am not always a fan of coconut. BUT, these were SO GOOD!!! This is a very buttery coconut shortbread cookie.  It is chock full of shredded coconut. I didn’t catch the hint of rum, but the butter may have drowned it out. My only criticism is I wish these had been a little softer.

October’s SinglesSwag box is valued at $86. That’s double the cost of a single box! I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t a book this month, especially since subscribers of the SinglesSwag Petite box received copies of Amy Poehler’s Yes Please. The August SinglesSwag box introduced me to Banded (headband in that box), and I got my first rescue kit – similar to this month’s Mani E.R. kit.  You can click here to see that review.  I like that there is brand loyalty (especially when it’s a good one), and that SinglesSwag is finding little things to keep me looking pulled together when accidents happen.
