The Ipsy theme for December is “With Love From Ipsy.” Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription – get 5 items in a cute bag for $10 a month! It’s the most popular subscription box (even though it’s a bag) with over 1.3 million subscribers and 100k new ones monthly. If you’re an Ipsy fan, be sure to watch for my monthly spoiler posts – I pick one reader randomly from the comments as my referral link for most of the month. Several of the past winners were able to load up on bonus items! Ipsy always comes in a fab pink mailer bag!
Everything in my bag for December!
Caudalie Vinosource SOS Thirst Quenching Serum ($16.33) Holy moly this is a pricey product! This is an oil-free serum formulated for dry skin, so it’s absolutely perfect for me. I’m really excited I got this and will use every bit.
Beau Gâchis Paris Concealer Brush ($8) I love getting brushes in my subscription boxes because I can’t stand buying them!
Lather Honey Moisture Mask with Propolis Extract ($5.50) There’s so much honey in this that I could smell it when I opened the outer pink bag!
Sephora Formula X Mini Nail Polish ($3.65) I absolutely love the rose gold metallic color and it’s a Sephora polish, so I’m totally happy!
Pacifica Power Of Love Natural Lipstick ($9.99) This is a vegan and cruelty free lipstick in the color “Tender Heart.” It’s not particularly creamy and a bit dry – I wonder if the regular formula is different? This lipstick smells like a crayon. I don’t think putting it in this box did Pacifica any favors. In the past I have noticed that the Pacifica shadows in Ipsy (which are really a nah for me too) are nothing like their retail product. So if you like this one, great, but if you don’t – don’t dismiss Pacifica except for the fact that they put inferior samples in Ipsy!
My bag was worth about $44 and I was really thrilled with the Caudalie and Sephora Formula X mini! I think I really scored this month! Plus…
I redeemed some points for the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette! It’s a $49 value! That’s crazy because it was only 1000 points. Speakiing of points, remember to subscribe to the newsletter so you see the January 2016 Ipsy Spoilers – I will open the referral link giveaway with the first spoiler (and also if you’re thinking of subscribing, using the link here gifts points to a fellow reader!).
You can check out Ipsy here and subscribe, and don’t forget to visit your Glam Room (and do your review points!).

I have the same concerns about the lipstick.. it was very dry and smells funny. I like my BE A Bombshell eye liner but my color was WILD ORCHID (which is a deep purple). I recieved IT mascara. I don’t know if i got a bad sample but it was clumpy and hard to apply. I recieved the Peter Lamas hand cream which smells amazing! This was my first bag and i was happy with it!
Wow! Too Faced palettes are my weakness and I’m a bit envious (lol) that you got this for free. So awesome!! I didn’t notice a smell with the lipstick but did find it to be dry. I haven’t tried anything from Pacifica because the items in my Ipsy bags are so bad. I’ll keep what you said in mind for sure. I got the polish too (LOVE!). Other products I received were a Be A Bombshell black eye liner (boo! too many black liners from Ipsy), a Peter Lamas hand cream (nice!), and Klorane make-up remover (great!). Overall, for $10 I’m happy. 🙂
I got a michelle phan eyeshadow palette for being a subscriber for 3 years this month too. I wondered why my bag felt so heavy and I have an anniversary extra 🙂 Hard to believe I’ve been getting this bag for 3 years. Wowsers.
That palette is so pretty! I was so excited for the lipstick then I tried it out and was like dang this stuff is dry lol but the packaging is cute
My Pacifica lipstick is a shade called Nudie Red, which seems rather pale to me. I can’t really smell it (have a terrible cold) very well, but it smells a bit odd to me. The Tarte finishing powder is essentially colorless, just good for the odd oily spot. Haven’t tried the Acure cell stimulating facial mask, but I generally like Acure. Passing the eye shadow primer and the sponge thing to my daughter since I won’t use either one and she got different stuff in her bag.
