I wasn’t excited about November

Birchbox

, I already peeked in my account. Still, there were a couple items I was interested in trying. Do know that even if you totally hate your box, you get 50 points every month by rating what’s in it, and 100

Birchbox

points equal $10, and then you get coupons all the time, so even if I have a box that I absolutely detest (like this one), I’m still a very happy and frequent customer of Birchbox. Can’t wait for my Snow Day box to arrive!

The value of my November

Birchbox

was $35.61 and I got box 13. There were 59 versions this month and I didn’t get any of the products I was excited about. I would have, for example. forgiven Birchbox for sending me shampoo & conditioner if they also sent me Chuao chocolate. I may be getting too picky with

Birchbox

, but it’s a surprise box and getting tea (which I don’t drink) while everyone gets chocolate made me extremely cranky.

The Info Card

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Crème Compact SPF 20 in Sand ($15.60) I so so so don’t think this is the right color. I’m usually a bisque. If I do try this, I’ll have to wait until summer. I’m whitey mc. whiterson over here.

Whish Shave Crave Shaving Cream – Blueberry ($2.93) I generally don’t use shave cream but this smells nice.

Mighty Leaf Tea – Tea Pouches (Lifestyle Extra) ($1.99) I thought it was ridiculous to get this in my box. PASS.

derma e Soothing Collection with Pycnogenol ($$3.91) Value breakdown – serum $1.80, cleanser $0.31, crème $1.80.

Eyeko Black Magic Mascara ($11.19) I was at first honestly excited because I’ve never tried a tube mascara. Then I realized that the mascara will only go halfway up the wand, and that because of the connection onto the tube there’s not that normal “wide” area to drag your brush off (do you do that?). This sample also does not come with the Eyeko shield (the utility of which I have no knowledge of, but probably brings down the value of this sample by a buck). SIGH!

Perhaps I’ll do like a BONUS Birchbox blog. I’m such a sad panda. I only have 5 boxes to look forward to a month and this is the mess I get sent. Thank God Popsugar came today and saved the month.

Your box does blow…….BUT, I was only sent 2 out of 5 products. I can’t even blog about it until they “correct it?” Total fail.

I’m actually SUPER happy with the mascara. It worked really well at separating and lengthening my lashes. I feel like I look like I’m wearing fake ones right now!

I will begrudgingly try it. Did you get your box?
