Gramma in a Box is a monthly subscription for kids (from a real Grandma!) that sends homemade cookies with frosting and sprinkles along with two easy candy crafts to make at least 15-20 edible treats.

<DEAL:  Get $5 off when you signup for a 3 month or longer plan! Use coupon code 5OFF.

The items arrived in a red box with a Gramma in a Box sticker.

There are also summer-themed stickers on the box this month.

They include a best by date as well.

The kit shows up bundled neatly together under some cute red polka dots tissue. It is secured using another Gramma In A Box sticker.

All the items come in separate plastic containers.

Also included in the box is a little welcoming note. This month’s box is all about Beach Party Treats.

Flip the card and you’ll find a list of all the items in the box, as well as items you will need from your home.

Every month, 3 projects are included in the box. This month, we are going to do Sea Life Cookie Decorating, Sea Shell Pretzels, and Gold Fish Bowls. Each of the cards has step by step instructions with a few images.

At the back of each card, you can see the ingredients for each of the recipes, and they also include the potential allergens.

They also sent us a $10 off coupon code!

This is the box upon opening!

You just have to remember — no snacking on the craft supplies!

First Project: Goldfish Bowls. For this project, the crate provided melting chocolate, marshmallows, goldfish crackers, and graham cracker crumbs. To melt the chocolate, put them in a microwave-safe bowl, heat in the microwave on high for 1 minute, stir with the spoon, and repeat for another 15 seconds until the chocolate is melted.

The melted chocolate had a nice blue color which fits the beach theme. My son started by dipping the marshmallow into the melted chocolate and then into the graham cracker crumbs.

His siblings also joined in on the fun!

After dipping the marshmallow, it’s time to stick the goldfish crackers on them. You have to do it quickly before the chocolate dries.

We left them for a few minutes to allow them to completely dry. Here the finished products, my kid’s goldfish bowls!

How cute! The colors are bright and fun and, of course, they also taste sweet and delicious!

Second Project: Seashell Pretzels. For the second project, we used pretzels, white sprinkles, and chocolate seashells, plus the remaining melted chocolate from the first project. You may opt to reheat the chocolate if it already started to dry up.

The first step is to coat the pretzel with the melted chocolate by dipping it. You may also flip it over using a fork to ensure that the whole pretzel is covered.

Add one seashell chocolate and top with sprinkles, then it’s good to go. The finished seashell pretzels look so delectable!

Third Project: Sea Life Cookie Decorating. For the last project, we’re decorating sea life-themed cookies! We got plain cookies in different shapes, sprinkles, sanding sugar, and frostings. The remaining melted chocolate will be used for this project as well.

My kids got really creative with this one! My daughter chose the shell-shaped cookie and the fish-shaped cookie for her to decorate.

My older son started with the shell and put some of the melted chocolate on the sides.

My daughter decorated hers using the peach-colored frosting.

As for my younger son, he preferred putting only a small amount of frosting on his cookie.

The sanding sugar provided a nice texture and effect on the cookies.

Here are all of our finished cookies! The pastel color of the frostings looked really great!

It’s another fun month for Gramma In A Box! We had fun munching on these treats, just as much as we had fun making them!

My kids and I always anticipate every new Gramma In A Box, because it means new fun projects to do and delicious goodies to munch on after. We definitely loved this month’s beach-themed projects! We didn’t encounter any problems because most of the ingredients are provided and the cards listed the step-by-step procedure. These edible crafts are simple and easy to make even for the kids. All I have to assist them with is when melting the chocolate but the rest of the steps are as easy as pie. We’re happy with the subscription and we recommend it to anyone who loves edible crafts!
