Disney Treasures was a bi-monthly official Disney subscription box produced by Funko in partnership with Disney. Disney Treasures featured the most memorable Disney movie and parks moments, and every box was filled with 100% exclusive Disney collectibles and accessories created by Funko for Disney fans and collectors.

The subscription for this box has now ended, but this box is coming to Hot Topic in the future as a collectible box!

Funko also produced the Marvel Collector Corps BoxSmuggler’s Bounty (Star Wars), and DC Legion of Collectors.

This is a review of the Disney Treasures Founder Gift Review.

It’s Mickey Mouse!

The first item we pulled out of the box is this lovely tin container. This side here looks girly!

And when I turn it to the other side, it has some boyish appeal.

Mickey Mouse Figure In Tin. The top of the tin actually gave us a hint! Hey, it’s Mickey, and it’s the classic Mickey!

If not for the red shorts and yellow shoes, Mickey would definitely look like his version in the animation during the 20s.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Mickey Mouse without that tail.

Mickey first appeared in the short Plane Crazy, debuting publicly in the short film Steamboat Willie (1928), one of the first sound cartoons. He went on to appear in over 130 films, including The Band Concert (1935), Brave Little Tailor (1938), and Fantasia (1940). Mickey appeared primarily in short films, but also occasionally in feature-length films. Ten of Mickey’s cartoons were nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film, one of which, Lend a Paw, won the award in 1942. In 1978, Mickey became the first cartoon character to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Exclusive Disney Year One Steamboat Willie. Steamboat Willie is one of the first sound-animations of that time (it was released in 1928), and this is where Mickey debuted!

Mickey is piloting a steamboat when Captain Pete comes to the bridge and throws him off. They stop to pick up cargo. Minnie just misses the boat and Mickey uses the crane to grab her. She drops her sheet music of “Turkey in the Straw” and a goat eats it.

The figure comes in a giftable box, and it’s great for display too!

The shiny vinyl figure is an exclusive Disney Treasures item! It shows Mickey piloting a steamboat by holding its steering wheel.

The figure looks like it’s whistling some tunes by the looks of Mickey’s mouth and also with the notes that are all around the figure!

The base has the Disney Treasures engraved on it.

The figure also looks like a silver trophy… Nobody would suspect that it’s not if you tried to include it in a trophy cabinet!

The figures celebrated Mickey’s cool and awesome character!

This box is exclusive for subscribers who purchased the whole year. The box is discontinued but getting these fantastic figures make our hearts really happy, and we will truly miss this box that gave us a wonderful adventure and made us experience the magical collaboration of Funko and Disney. The items are true treasures that we can keep and will always remind us how this box filled our kiddie hearts with joy.
