The idea behind this scent is that it should feel like the first sunny day of spring so it has bright notes from always uplifting citrus, such as pink grapefruit, orange peel, and bergamot, but also grapefruit flowers, star jasmine, and rose buds. This scent should carry into summer, too! The candle is made with soy wax grown in the USA, a cotton wick, and paraben & phthalate free fragrance oils. The burn time for this 16 ounce candle is around 80 hours. The owner of DRCC suggests cleaning the jar out after the wax is spent and reusing it for years to come, and the cleaning instructions were helpful.
Cheerful Greeting Cards – Set of 4 ($12) The bonus item for April is a set of four greeting cards and white envelopes. One card is for a birthday and the other three are for a variety of occasions. It’s pretty much summer already here in Central Texas so a sunny, uplifting candle is welcome – I am ready for the brighter candle notes that tend to come around this time of year. The candle scent I received is full of citrus notes, with a sweet touch, although the hot throw wasn’t strong at all, I couldn’t even detect from just a few feet away. I checked with my daughter in case I am just nose blind to the scent but she agreed it wasn’t strong. I made sure to burn it for a few hours straight on two different nights and had the same experience. If you prefer the warmth and light that goes along with candles as opposed to a strong scent then this may be the candle for you. The bonus item was cute and perfect for those last minute greeting card situations.
