This year Cloth & Paper are all about routine habits so it’s no surprise that the Spring 2025 Aesthete Box by CLOTH & PAPER theme was Morning Rituals! The box was filled with products to help get the morning off to a great start: a spritz of perfume, a bite of boosted chocolate for some pep, and a sip of something to help beat bloat are all great ways to start the day. See all of the items below!

AESTHETE Richmond Body Soap 4oz ($15 retail) There is always one Aesthete branded product in the box and this time around it’s a wonderfully scented bar of soap. This one is made with mango butter and coconut oil and it is strongly scented with a fragrance that smells familiar, maybe Tom Ford or Derek Lam, some kind of expensive perfume I tried once upon a time. No scent notes are given but it’s deep and sensual with amber, maybe caramel, a hint of sweetness, and it’s very luxe.

KOSTA BODA Limelight Tulip Vase by Göran Wärff Vase in Caramel ($125 retail) The shipping box was huge this quarter and that was due to the inclusion of this stunning vase. It’s a little over 7″ high and almost the same width across, with a wider opening at the top and a heavy base at the bottom. The box says this color is Caramel but I didn’t see it on their website so I linked to a similar item. What a centerpiece item and I’m sure it will look lovely when filled with flowers, so I’ll pick up a bouquet on my next Trader Joe’s run. The vase is very sturdy and heavier than I expected, but what a stunner.

ELLIS BROOKLYN Salt 50ml eau de parfum ($115 retail) Salt is an aquatic floral musk with notes of violet leaves, tiare flower, and musk. It’s inspired by salt and a little bit of sweat, like a day running around on the beach. Unlike other beachy fragrances it’s missing that sunscreen and/or fruity tropical note, and the musk is really strong here, it’s overpowering the tiare, which I can pick up if I really sniff my arm closely. I’m picking up some powdery notes too, but I can’t sense the ambergris or ylang ylang. This perfume is supposed to smell fresh but on my skin it’s just musk. It’s pretty strong and long-lasting, and while I don’t think it’s for me, my daughter exclaimed that she loves it so she will be thrilled to have the bottle to herself. Speaking of the bottle, the container is frosted blue glass with a magnetic lid and would look so pretty on a dresser.
ALICE Brainstorm Mushroom Chocolate ($30 retail) Whenever a product says it provides an energy boost I look for the caffeine, and this product has guarana, which is more potent than coffee beans (the amount in one piece of this chocolate is the equivalent to the amount of caffeine in 2/3 cup of coffee). It has extracts from the lion’s mane and cordyceps mushrooms and is supposed to promote memory, focus, and energy. It is sweetened with a bit of sugar. It had a very rich, deep chocolate flavor and while it didn’t taste like mushrooms it had a bit of a bitter aftertaste, similar to what I encounter when I eat something with stevia. I’ll let you decide if it gives you a boost, I didn’t notice any difference, but it was an enjoyable treat.
PROMIX Snickerdoodle Puff Bar ($2.50 retail) I read a lot about health topics and protein is a big buzzword right now, and this treat, which is like a supercharged crispy rice treat, has 15 grams inside! It’s made with whey protein puffs, marshmallows, egg whites, sugar, and inulin and is pretty sweet, with a hint of cinnamon. It’s super crunchy and has a bit of a grainy texture that wasn’t a problem for me, I get that it’s still a protein bar.
PROMIX Debloat ($29 retail) I haven’t tried this product yet since it’s supposed to be taken first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and I always forget and drink my tea and my smoothie before I think about it. There are three different flavors in this pack and each one has three strains of probiotics, baobab, monk fruit, and turmeric. Mix into 12-20 ounces of water and drink ON AN EMPTY STOMACH (maybe I’ll remember to try it now). It’s supposed to reduce bloating and cramping, promote healing of the gut barrier, and boost the immune system however these statements haven’t been evaluated by the FDA so let me know if you feel like they help!
The Spring 2025 collection of products from Aesthete Box aimed to help get my day started on a positive note. I can see how it all plays out: First, I’m greeted with a lovely scented soap in the shower, then I get another burst of fragrance while getting dressed in the form of Salt by Ellis Brooklyn. Into my kitchen I go where I spy a beautiful Kosta Boda vase filled with blooms sitting on my island. After a sip of some PROMIX probiotic debloat mix stirred into my water (and consumed on an EMPTY stomach) I try a bite of Alice’s mushroom chocolates (ok, now I get where the name comes from, is it a Wonderland reference?). Finally, I tuck the PROMIX puff bar into my work bag for a mid-morning boost of protein. The box has a total value of around $317 but more than that, I really enjoyed using the products, which are luxurious upgrades to the usual items I reach for in my daily life!
