Seared Steak Tacos + Onion Salsa.
Ingredients: Spicewalla Taco Seasoning Blend, Fresh Lime, Fresh Red Onion, Thin-Cut Beef Strips, Fresh Cilantro, Eureka Tortilla Organic Plain Tortillas
I was excited to try Hungryroot’s Seared Steak Tacos, but I’ll admit—the onion salsa didn’t sound all that appealing to me, so I skipped it. Even without it, the tacos were delicious. The steak was surprisingly tender for a meal kit, and everything came pre-portioned, making prep super easy. While I wouldn’t have minded a slightly bigger portion, it was a fresh, flavorful meal that felt homemade without the hassle.

Creamy Vodka Protein Pasta + Meatballs.
Ingredients: Homestyle Beef Meatballs, Creamy Vodka Sauce, Brami Radiatori Protein Pasta
The Creamy Vodka Protein Pasta and Meatballs from Hungryroot ended up being my favorite of the three meals I tried. The creamy vodka sauce added a nice richness to the dish, and the meatballs were flavorful. However, I’d recommend not using all of the pasta, as it felt like too much for the sauce. Even with a little less pasta, the meal was easy to prepare and really satisfying—definitely a comforting option with minimal effort!

Baked Mac ‘n Cheese with Herby Breadcrumbs.
Ingredients: Spicewalla Garlic and Herb Seasoning, Andrew & Everett Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Classic Alfredo Sauce, Bionaturae Organic Chiocciole Pasta, Roth Harvati Cheese Slices, Seasoned Panko Breadcrumbs
I tried Hungryroot’s Baked Mac n’ Cheese with Herby Breadcrumbs, and it was a solid comfort food option. The mac n’ cheese was creamy and flavorful, and while I wouldn’t use all of the breadcrumbs provided, the dish still had a nice crunch and an extra boost of flavor. It was easy to prepare and felt like a satisfying homemade meal—definitely a go-to when you’re craving something cheesy!

Abe’s Mini Banana Bread Loaf was absolutely delicious! It was moist, soft, and had the perfect banana flavor. The texture was spot-on, and it made for such a comforting snack. I loved how easy it was to enjoy without having to bake it myself—definitely a new favorite!

Nancy’s Probiotic Garlic + Herb Cream Cheese Spread was amazing! The garlic and herb flavors were perfectly balanced, giving it a nice, savory kick without being too overpowering. It was creamy and smooth, making it the perfect spread for bagels, crackers, or just about anything.
