The January 2025 Vegancuts Snack Box was themed Winter Wellness Wonderland. I received 10 items, most of them single-serving sized snacks ready to pop in my work bag to enjoy on the go. Read on to see what I received!

Please note, I didn’t receive this January box until February 18th.

The Other Side of Coffee Berry Coffee Fruit Drink ($2.69) At first I was worried when I saw this, since I’m not much of a coffee drinker, but it’s not made from the coffee bean, it’s made from the fruit that surrounds the coffee bean! The fruit, which would otherwise go to waste, is filled with antioxidants and it has less caffeine than a cup of coffee – only 30mg vs the 95mg found in a cup of joe. It’s cloudy and darker than I was expecting, and it’s sweetened with stevia, not something I usually consume, but I liked the added berry flavor and the aftertaste wasn’t very strong.

Pan Original Mushroom Jerky ($7.19) I like mushrooms and I actually liked this jerky. My husband even liked it, and that’s saying a lot! It’s chewy, a little sweet, a little umami, and it gets stuck in your teeth, kind of like meat-based jerky. It’s made with natural ingredients and has a good amount of fiber.

I have always liked oatmeal raisin cookies, and this was similar. Great Full Fully Functional Cookies Softbaked in Sweet Potato, Cranberry, and Oatmeal are soft-baked and have craisins instead of raisins, and they have some sweet potato for additional nutrients. They are sweet, chewy, and have a good amount of spice to keep them interesting.

Misfits Vegan Protein Bar in Caramel Fudge ($2.33) This bar has 15 grams of protein and less than a gram of sugar, yet it tastes and has a texture similar to a candy bar. It has a soft, chewy center and it’s covered with a chocolate-flavored coating that has pea and soy protein crispy pieces. It’s super sweet but there’s no weird aftertaste.

PROBAR Snak Energy Bar in Chocolate Chip Oat ($2.42) It looks like this bar in a “Snak” size is no longer offered, so we’ve linked to a similar product. The ingredients are slightly different but some of the ones listed in my bar are oats, sunflower butter and seeds, flax seeds, brown rice crisp, chocolate chips, sugar, and more. It has 3 grams of fiber, 5 grams of protein, and tastes like a chewy, nutty oatmeal cookie.

Happiness Sprouted Premium Organic Pumpkin Seeds in Himalayan Pink Salt Seeds and nuts are some of my favorite snacks, and these salty pepitas were a hit! They look and taste just like the seeds I buy at the store but according to the brand, the seeds are soaked and sprouted to “enhance nutrient absorption and aid digestion”. They also offer 9 grams of protein and the only two ingredients are pumpkin seeds and salt.

Love, Corn Sour Cream and Onion Snack Shot ($1) I love Love, Corn, but sadly these were rancid, although they aren’t supposed to expire until May 2025. Darn it. It makes me wary of buying these at the store, although I can always return them to my local market if I’ve found some that are off.

Lenny & Larry Cookie-Fied Bar in Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ($1.88) I grew up eating cookie dough from the bowl and while I now know that’s not a great idea for food safety reasons, you can get a similar flavor from this safe-to-eat bar. It’s chewy and has a good amount of protein, 12 grams in the whole bar, plus 5 grams of fiber. Some of the ingredients include a protein blend, almonds, chocolate chips, oat flour, and brown sugar. It’s tasty and super sweet, and I don’t have to worry about getting salmonella from raw wheat flour like with regular cookie dough!

BareLife Coconut Hot Cocoa Mix ($1.59) A hot drink on a cold day is very comforting, and this vegan version was pretty good. It’s made with coconut milk powder for that creamy mouthfeel and is sweetened with coconut sugar. It can be made with hot water or non-dairy milk and I tried it with water. It was full of chocolatey, cocoa-y flavor

Lindt Non-Dairy Chocolates I received two different flavors of Lindt Lindor chocolate truffles. The flavor on the left is Non-Dairy Dark, while the one on the right is Non-Dairy Oat Milk, and both of these were *chef’s kiss*. The dark chocolate version was just dark enough, and my daughter, who prefers dark chocolate to all other kinds, said it was delicious. The oat milk version was smooth and creamy with a flavor similar to milk chocolate, and while it’s cold here right now and the middle was more solid than it might be in the warmer parts of the year, it melted as soon as I took a bite. Blissful.

The January 2025 Vegancuts Snack Box was full of contrasting flavors and textures — sweet, salty, chewy, sippable, and some were a combo of most of the above! I received two drinks, one a cold drink for a warm day, the other a hot cocoa for a cold evening. My favorite item was the Happiness Sprouted Pumpkin Seeds, with only two ingredients and lots of flavor. I was most excited about getting two Lindt Lindor truffles, what a treat! I only had one bite of Love, Corn and it wasn’t good but that’s a quality control issue, I normally enjoy their snacks. Four of the items were practically meal replacements, and were sometimes overly sweet and indulgent, but they are snacks that I typically wouldn’t buy for myself so I was happy to get one of each instead of a whole box of them at the store.

Vegancuts Snack Box is a monthly vegan food subscription that delivers 10 or more organic and vegan treats each month. Snacks can include a pantry item or drink and most snacks are gluten-free. Each subscription box costs $29.99 monthly, or save a bit with a longer pre-paid term.
