I have a hefty appreciation for autumn and can’t wait to get cozy so I was thrilled when I found the Fall 2024 Aesthete Box by CLOTH & PAPER had arrived! The theme was Well-Being and it was filled with products to help me relax, pep-up, and otherwise take care of myself (and my senses) with a reed diffuser, tasty treats, and more. See what I received below!

Basilica Reed Diffuser ($115 listed value) One of our Aesthete Box branded items this quarter is a lovely ceramic reed diffuser with scented oil. The Holder is made of sleek, smooth ceramic and looks and feels the same as the mug shown below. We’ve received other items in past boxes in the Basilica scent, which includes notes of vanilla, warm spices, and oak – it’s sweet, warm, and posh all at once. While you can certainly pour the fragrance into the holder and then place the reeds, you could also just insert the entire jar of oil in the holder, making it easy to switch out another bottle in the future, should refills or other fragrances become available. I haven’t opened the bottle yet (although I can smell the lovely scent through the cap). My daughter gifted me a similar item that should hold me over for the next 3 months or so, but I can confirm that the value given for this item is similar to what you might pay at an upscale store.

Ceramic Coffee Mug by Aesthete by Cloth & Paper ($34 listed value) The other branded item for this box is a mug with a raised Aesthete logo on one side. Three items in this quarter’s box are for those who drink coffee (while I am a tea drinker) but I can certainly sip my morning English Breakfast from this mug! It has a sleek feel that’s smooth in my hands, and on cold mornings I hold my mug in my hands and let the warmth seep through, and this adds to the sensory experience. I filled it up almost to the top with water and then poured it into a measuring cup, and would say 12 ounces is the max capacity. I’m not sure if it’s dishwasher or microwave safe so I will wash it by hand.

Reflekt Face Wash ($34) A luxurious face wash with dissolvable jojoba beads is our beauty item for this box. While it can be used twice a day, I felt like my skin got a thorough scrubbing so once a week is better for me. I’m not a fan of the fact that this had added fragrance, but that’s a personal preference. The floral-scented gel goes on wet skin, then keep rubbing until the beads dissolve before rinsing thoroughly. My skin still felt soft the next morning, and it removed all of my face makeup and sunscreen (I didn’t use it near my eyes). Hyaluronic acid is one of the ingredients, which draws water to the skin.

Kloo Welcome Kit ($40 listed value) The Kloo Welcome Kit comes with a reusable bag that has an embroidered design plus a jigger that you can use to customize your coffee experience (although there’s no instructions or measurements that I can tell other than “single” and “double”). There was supposed to be a $20 gift card that can be redeemed at Kloo for your desired flavor of coffee concentrate but it seems to be missing from my box.

Date Better Dark Chocolat Snacks in Peanut Butter Crunch and Hazelnut Praline ($12 value) I think it’s important to eat foods that are as unprocessed as possible, and this is pretty natural, especially for a snack. PB Crunch has peanut butter (as in, made only from peanuts) stuffed inside a date (a natural source of sugar), covered in dark cacao, and there’s a hint of sea salt and some crunchy cacao nibs in there somewhere. It was delicious and extremely indulgent! Hazelnut Praline has hazelnut butter in the middle but otherwise is the same as PB Crunch. There are two dates in each box and one is enough to seriously satisfy.

Refresh Plan-Based Gum ($3) Until I received this product, I never knew that my chewing gum had plastic (listed as “gum base” in the ingredients, it may contain polyvinyl acetate). Rubber maybe (it comes from a tree), but plastic? Well, now I know better and here is something to chew instead. This one is sweetened with xylitol so there’s an initial blast of coolness when you first start chewing. The flavor is raspberry but it fades quickly.

Manuka Health Raw Manuka Honey Daily MGO 400+ ($60) Manuka honey is a little different than the honey I tend to buy at the grocery store. It is said to have more antibacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits than the kind that comes in a bear-shaped container and it has been used in wound care for ages. The manuka shrub is in the tea tree family and the honey comes from nectar that bees harvest from that plant. There’s all kinds of health benefits attributed to this honey, but I just want it to taste good enough to eat from the spoon (although of course it can go into tea, smoothies, biscuits, or even smeared on your face!). It has a floral flavor and it’s not gritty or crystallized, but it’s not smooth like corn syrup either. Very tasty.

Manuka Health Manuka Honey Lozenges ($12) I packed a few of these lozenges to take along on a two-week trip and I must say I didn’t get sick (but then most of the time I don’t, but it still worries me anyways). It has Manuka honey (see above) plus sugar, glucose, elderberry flavor, and added natural color and tastes fine and fruity. I’m not sure that I’m on board with Team Manuka, but I’m still ready to do whatever I can to boost my immune system in what has been (and will be for the next month) a quarter full of important life moments that I wouldn’t want to miss or cough my way through.

Once again I am amazed at all of the exciting items I received in my latest Aesthete Box! It was a feast for the senses with items that hit on smell, touch, taste, and sight – all we need now is a Spotify playlist and we’d have sound covered too! I am a huge fan of the Basilica scent, so I can’t wait to open it up when my current reed diffuser is finished (my house is too small for competing scents). The mug feels so good in my hands when I sip my morning tea, and although the coffee voucher was missing, it’s not something I drink anyways so I don’t miss it, and that means I have no use for the jigger. The Reflekt cleanser left my skin soft and removed all traces of dirt, so I will use it once a week to provide a deep cleanse. The Manuka honey is liquid gold, it tastes so good, and so do the lozenges. I could only eat one chocolate dipped date from Date Better at a time, meaning I had four chances to enjoy a sweet treat. The Refresh gum taught me that I need to take a closer look at my current brand, I had no idea that I was chewing plastic before now. The value for this collection was around $310!

Below are a couple of unboxing pictures. For some reason I was missing any inserts like the product info card and possibly coupons, but most of the time the card includes discount codes for future purchases from the featured brands.
