First up, I tried the Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Set & Refresh Spray ($24). It’s a dual-phase, alcohol-free setting spray that promises a dewy finish and keeps your makeup in place. I love that you have to shake it to mix and activate it—it feels like a fun little ritual. I tried using it both as a primer and a setting spray. Before makeup, it gave my skin a fresh, moisturized base, and as a setting spray, it helped my makeup last through a humid afternoon. However, it did make my face a bit shinier than I prefer, but that’s easily fixed with a bit of powder.
The KVD BEAUTY Full Sleeve Long + Defined Tubing Mascara ($25) was a pleasant surprise. I’ve always had trouble with mascaras clumping or smudging, especially in the summer heat, but this one lived up to its promises. I wore it for a full day out, and it didn’t smudge at all, which is a huge win in my book. It feels lightweight on my lashes, almost like I’m not wearing mascara at all.
Next is the Eclat Skin Limited Edition Micellar Water with Rosemary Extract (about $38.41), which offers a gentle way to remove makeup at the end of the day. The rosemary extract adds a soothing touch with its anti-inflammatory properties, making it particularly good for sensitive skin. This micellar water not only removes makeup but also provides a calming effect, making it a great option for a nightly ritual or a refreshing morning cleanse.
The Daily Concepts Daily Reusable Rounds ($9.99) work surprisingly well with just a cleanser or even plain water, making them a versatile addition to any skincare routine. I appreciate their travel-friendly design—compact and easy to pack. Plus, the convenience of tossing them in the washing machine for a quick clean makes them practical and sustainable. However, I would have preferred to receive a different item in the box that felt more exclusive or unique. Nonetheless, they fit the clean theme and offer practical benefits for maintaining a low-maintenance beauty routine.
The Dew Of The Gods Sorbaé Hyaluronic Lip Butter In Coconut Cloud ($24) was a real treat for my lips. This coconut-scented lip butter glides on effortlessly, leaving my lips feeling incredibly soft and supple. The hyaluronic acid works wonders, keeping my lips moisturized and smooth for longer, so I don’t need to reapply as often. I appreciated that it has no tint, which makes it versatile for layering over lipstick or just wearing on its own for a natural look. I found myself applying it generously because it not only feels great but also adds a touch of luxury to my daily routine.
I’ve been hearing a lot about this Korean skincare brand, so I was excited to try the MA:NYO Pure Cleansing Oil ($4.25). It’s gentle and does a great job of removing makeup, sunscreen, and sebum. The blend of argan kernel oil and other plant-derived oils, along with vitamin E, provides a nourishing touch that doesn’t leave my skin feeling stripped or dry. It cleanses thoroughly, leaving my skin feeling clean and soft. The lightweight, non-greasy formula is a nice change from some heavier oils I’ve tried. However, if you’re not used to oil cleansers, it might take a little time to adjust to the different texture compared to traditional cleansers.
Lastly, the Juliette Has A Gun Not A Perfume Eau De Parfum ($7.50) sample was quite intriguing. This fragrance is crafted from a single ingredient called Cetalox, which makes it allergen-free and offers a minimalist, musky scent. While musky fragrances aren’t typically my first choice, I found this one to be pleasant. It’s subtle and understated, making it ideal for those who prefer a fragrance that won’t overwhelm. The simplicity of the scent makes it versatile and easy to wear, even for someone who might not usually gravitate towards musk. It’s an interesting take on fragrance, showcasing that less can indeed be more.
This month’s Allure Beauty Box focuses heavily on cleansing, featuring both micellar water and cleansing oil. While both are great, having two products that offer similar benefits might not be the most exciting choice. I love the eco-friendly and travel-friendly items, as they add practical value for anyone on the go. However, I wish there had been more variety in the makeup products or additional unique skincare options to mix things up. Overall, while the box does a good job of providing quality and convenience, a bit more diversity in the product selection would have made it more appealing.

I wasn’t crazy impressed with this box and honestly the mascara and micellar water were the hits for me in it but it was nice to have a free full sized items this month as well. Jane scents(as well as Commodity a couple others like them) don’t mix well with my chemistry for some reason and this scent wasn’t any different, the Milk setting spray doesn’t set well for me either and I don’t like cleansing oils, so…. When I get items I won’t use they get put into “goody bags” I hand it to people at local shelters and others who may have real use for them. I’ve been with allure for YEARS and find myself skipping more boxes lately as it’s been up and down with the boxes each month…. In my opinion the PERFECT beauty box would have 1 makeup item, 1 skincare item, 1 bath/body item, 1 hair item and 1 tool EACH MONTH! *Hint Hint allure*😉
