The June 2024 Vegancuts Snack Box was themed Vegan Picnic. I received 10 items and was excited to try some that looked new-to-me, and I discovered a couple of tasty snacks I will definitely purchase soon. Read on to see what I received!

DEAL: Use the coupon code hellosub to get $5 off your first box on any Vegancuts subscription! It can only be used once per customer, but it can be used on multiple subscriptions at once so long as they are in the same transaction.

Proceeds from this box helps support animal sanctuaries. The back of this card lists the snacks inside the box.

I also received a couple of cards with discount codes for future purchases.

Onesto Foods Gluten Free Everything Crackers ($7.99) These have a flavor that I like (everything bagel) and they are gluten-free. Unfortunately, the bag inside the box was open and spilled into the box, so I didn’t try these and am worried they might be stale anyways and it’s not fair to say that when it’s obviously open, but it was disappointing.

Lenny & Larry’s Fitzels Protein Pretzels ($2.50) are regular wheat pretzels but with added pea protein, which gives them some protein. The bag proudly claims that there are 18 grams of protein in the bag, but keep in mind that the bag holds 3 servings (so 6 grams per serving, vs 3 grams for the same size serving of Rold Gold pretzels). The pea protein gives it a gritty texture but the everything bagel seasoning is delicious!

Vegan Caulipuffs ($1.33) I’m going to need a bigger bag because these spicy puffs were amazing (my daughter would say FIRE, and that also works for the burn that I’m feeling in my mouth after snacking on these). They were puffy like those cheesy puff thingies but they also had the best BBQ flavor I’ve ever tried, and you can’t taste the cauliflower at all. Of course, it’s mixed with corn and rice meal and according to the nutritional facts it really isn’t a source of any actual nutrition but it’s a guilt-free treat that tastes so good.

UnMeat Fish-Free Tuna Style Flakes I haven’t tried this item, but it’s supposed to mimic canned tuna fish. I suppose it would be good on crackers or in a sandwich, or maybe in cream(less) tuna on toast.

Drizzilicious Birthday Cake Bites ($1.25) These were so good, almost as good as the Salted Caramel flavor! Even though these are made with puffed rice, corn, and quinoa, they really don’t have much nutrition to speak of, but they satisfy a craving for something sweet, and at only 90 calories a package. Yum!

FavaLicious Pizza Crunchy Roasted Fava Beans I have to start by saying that I’m not a fan of pizza-flavored snacks and that isn’t the snack’s fault. The texture was good, kind of a cross between a roasted soybean and a nut. This snack has an admirable amount of fiber (8 grams for this pouch!) plus calcium, iron, and potassium. Out of the four flavors on offer from this brand, I would be most likely to like the chili lime flavor (I’ve tried the salt and vinegar and am not a fan of that one either).

Mocca Shots High Energy Gummies ($1.50) If you need a caffeine boost, then you might want to give these gummies a try. There were two in the bag and each one has 100mg of caffeine, so I only ate half of one a day so I didn’t get the full effect. It reminds me of a hard coffee candy, except it’s a gummy. It didn’t really taste like salted caramel, but it did taste like bitter-yet-sweet coffee.

Herbal Zap Immune Support ($0.95) I couldn’t find much info about this supplement because the company’s website is no longer valid. It has a proprietary blend of herbs that are supposed to boost the immune system, but of course those claims have no backing by the FDA. I mixed it into water and it tasted slightly sweet, earthy from the herbs, and with a kick in the back of the throat thanks to cayenne.

TCHO Toffee Time & Holy Fudge ($1.66) Each of these one-bite bars were delicious and are made with organic cacao and vegan oat milk. Toffee Time was salty, Holy Fudge was deep, dark chocolate, so one bite was satisfying.

I enjoy receiving an assortment of snacks each month from Vegancuts. There was a good mix of sweet and salty, crunchy and chewy, and most were single-servings, so they can go into my tote bag when I’m out and about. As always, there were some hits and misses, but you can’t please every tastebud out there. I especially liked the spicy cauliflower puffs from Caulipuffs, which makes sense since I like BBQ flavored snacks. I also drooled over the Drizzilicious Birthday Cake mini rice cakes, what a sensible sweet treat! I was disappointed that the largest item, the box of Onesto crackers, was open at the bottom seam, I tend to like everything bagel flavored snacks. Luckily, there was a bag of everything bagel flavored pretzels so that craving was satisfied.

Vegancuts Snack Box is a monthly vegan food subscription that delivers 10 or more organic and vegan treats each month. Snacks can include a pantry item or drink and most snacks are gluten-free. Each subscription box costs $24.95 monthly, or save a bit with a longer pre-paid term.
