Cedarwood Essential Oil Blend ($10.99) Cedarwood may help promote rest and can be added to a bug repellant product to fight off those summer pests. It smells woody and sweet.

Happy Joy Essential Oil ($13.99) With a name like that you can expect this blend to be uplifting but it’s also supposed to calm the body. It is a blend of grapefruit, orange, geranium, and ylang ylang and smells like citrus with a sweet floral note on top.

Head Soothing Essential Oil Blend ($18.99) As you can guess, this blend is supposed to relieve headaches but also provides that calming lavender note and may soothe minor skin irritations. This blend is made up of lavender, frankincense, and ho wood essential oils. It has a scent that reminds me of something warm and clean.

Ylang Ylang Essential Oil ($18.99) Ylang ylang has such a unique floral scent, and I love it! It may be used in skincare or hair care products and might leave you feeling happy.

The products that were included this month to help us make our recipes are the Homemade Paperboard Tube, Argan Oil, and Amber Spray Bottle.

This sheet of stickers is pre-scored so I can quickly label my finished products.

Each month we receive six new recipes to add to our collection.

Some of the recipes continue on the back of the card, while others have important info about the subscription.

Below are some of the projects I completed using this month’s recipes and extras!

I love to diffuse essential oils, they help my living area smell better and can help me relax or feel pepped up, depending on which oils I choose. This blend smelled mainly of ylang ylang, which is fine by me!

I also made the Head Soothing Roll-On, which is supposed to help tame tension. I placed 10 drops of the Head Soothing essential oil in the roll-on bottle (which came in the Big Bonus Box), topped it with fractionated coconut oil (also from the BBB), then placed the roller on top and gave it a good shake.

There was a label ready to go in my monthly recipe box so I placed it on and now I have a new essential oil roll-on for my collection. They suggest using this as needed rather than daily since the essential oil concentration is higher than their usual recipes. You can roll it on your forehead, pulse points, or shoulders and of course if there’s someone around who can massage your shoulders for you then you’ll probably feel better even sooner.

There were four more recipes in my box but they were not products that I would use on my hair (like a thick mask, hair wax, hair oil spray, and dry shampoo) but I recognize that others will probably be thrilled with those more natural options. If I need to detangle my hair, one drop of argan oil (like the one found in this month’s box) is plenty for my fine hair. I liked the roll-on recipe, the smell is fleeting but I think it helps a bit when I’m stressed. I was pleased with my new Happy Joy blend and use it on the passive diffuser that’s on top of my desk. I also liked the Bubbly Diffuser Blend recipe, since diffusing is my favorite way to use my oils.
