The latest BoxyCharm by Ipsy is here! The theme was Sunny Days Ahead and I received 5 new products that included an eyeshadow quad, a moisturizer with SPF, and more. See all of my items below! Please keep in mind that BoxyCharm by Ipsy sends out lots of different box combos so my products may vary from yours. Plus, subscribers get to choose three of their five items (the other two are chosen by Ipsy). My box was chosen for me so it doesn’t always match my beauty needs and preferences but subscribers have more control over their box!

Briogeo Superfoods 3-in-1 Leave-In Spray ($25) This leave-in spray is supposed to condition, detangle, and protect hair from UV rays. I skipped my in-shower conditioner and sprayed this twice into my pals, smooshed them together, then applied to the ends of my hair. The smell was ok, it’s described as tart green fruit and berries and it fades quickly. I had no problems combing out my tangles and after styling my hair, it didn’t look or feel weighed-down.

Il Makiage Color Boss Squad Eyeshadow in The Real Deal ($48) I received a shadow palette from this brand in a past box and I was thrilled to receive another one (although two of the colors are the same as my previous palette, which was called Workaholic), since I thought the quality was very nice. Three of the shades are shimmers, while the darkest one is matte. They were easy to blend and stayed in place all day long with minimal fall out when applying. I was worried these would skew too autumn-like but they looked really good once applied. Swatched below.

RealHer Dream without Limits Ceramide Primer ($29) I didn’t see this product listed at Ipsy so I would be interested if anyone else received it too. It’s a primer and I must say, I’m not a primer user. They tend to be good for those who have oily skin and my skin is dry and I’ve seen no difference in treated vs non-treated sides but I still gave it a try for testing purposes. It was a light-pink shade and was easy to spread over my face. It has a light lemon scent thanks to essential oil and also has ceramides, dimethicone, hyaluronic acid, and chamomile.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer With Sunscreen ($32) I am a huge fan of sunscreen, so I was thrilled to get a full container of this fragrance-free moisturizer with SPF 30. It was very white at first but after rubbing it in for a bit that disappeared. I had no problems applying makeup over top but then it has dimethicone, which is also found in primers. There’s also licorice root and green tea extracts plus glycerin, a known skin soother. Please note that this product is best for regular day use, but if you’re going to be swimming or sweating a lot then please use a waterproof product, this is basically moisturizer with SPF.

Context Shimmer Eye Stick in Crossfire ($20 listed value at Ipsy) I like a shimmery eye stick, although I prefer a shimmery shade much lighter than this one, which is described as taupe. It was too dark for my lid, too light for the crease, but it did glide on easily and I mixed it with other colors I own. I couldn’t find this on the brand’s website though, so there’s not much to tell. Swatched below.

Swatched above is the Context Shimmer Stick in Crossfire (I made two lines) and then the four shades of the Il Makiage product, which swatched like a dream.

Overall, the BoxyCharm by Ipsy June 2024 box offers a varied mix of products with a balance of value and quality. The standout items included a leave-in spray and a moisturizer with SPF, both of which performed well for daily use. The eyeshadow palette was also impressive, with good blend-ability and long-lasting wear, although some shades repeated from previous boxes. The primer and shimmer eye stick were less exciting, either due to personal preference or underwhelming performance. Subscribers’ ability to choose three items adds value, allowing for some control over the selection. While not every product was a hit, the box still provides a good mix, making it a pleasant experience with the chance to discover new favorites.

Overall, the June 2024 BoxyCharm by Ipsy box delivered a nice mix of products fitting the Sunny Days Ahead theme. The skincare items felt particularly useful for the summer, providing good protection and hydration. The makeup products varied in their appeal, with some impressing with their quality and ease of use, while others didn’t quite hit the mark for my personal preferences. While not every product was a perfect match for me, the box offered a fun and engaging way to discover new beauty items, making it a worthwhile addition to my monthly routine.
