Ipsy Glam Bag I thought this month’s bag was so pretty and perfect for spring! It has flowers, berries, and greenery on a polyvinyl bag that should be easy to keep clean. The inside is lined with fabric and I appreciate that the design is on both sides of the bag!

Dallas & James Skincare Co. Watermelon Dream Cloud Cream ($14.40) It’s almost summer and if you like lighter products on your skin in the warmer months then you might like this gel moisturizer! It has hyaluronic acid and niacinamide and it has a light, fruity scent. I don’t think this is strong enough for my dry skin but I liked trying something new!
ToyFactory Hylash Hyaluronic Serum Mascara ($6) I never thought of lashes needing serum but it’s something that’s paired with color in this mascara. Unfortunately I didn’t feel like this was good for my lashes, there didn’t seem to be much difference when I applied it, it looked about the same as my bare lashes.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Mini Clear Brow Gel ($13) I noticed a lot of people complained about this product on the Ipsy website, saying it’s clear and they need color. I think the idea is that those who like groomed brows can use it, but also those who use brow pencil can use it too, just apply it after applying color. I liked it, it made my lashes look neat and didn’t leave them super crunchy.
SLMISSGLAM Pink Rose Marble Powder Blush ($6) Ipsy calls this a powder brush and suggests using it on the eyes but it’s too big for that area, and it’s too soft for highlighter or bronzer application. I guess it can be used for under eye powder? I like the pink quartz-like handle though.
Vintage by Jessica Liebeskind Cream Lip Gloss ($13) I liked the color, called Blush, of this creamy lip gloss, but I’m knocking off points for the cheap-feeling container and weird brush, which reminds me of the brush that comes with a Crayola paint set. The gloss has a light orange flavor and the color is a dusky pink that can be paired with liner or lipstick and of course it can be worn alone.

Swatched above is the Jessica Liebeskind lip gloss in Blush.
My May Ipsy Glam Bag came with four items that relate to makeup in some way, such as a makeup brush and brow groomer, and the only skincare item was too light for my skin type, but the bag itself was a beauty! I especially liked the Anastasia brow grooming gel, it left my brows in place but they didn’t look glossy or wet, which happens when I use thicker gels or wax. I also liked the Jessica Liebeskind lip gloss, but the packaging could be improved. The same goes for the ToyFactory mascara and SLMISSGLAM makeup brush, they felt, well, not very sturdy or upscale. Everything sure coordinated nicely though!
